Chapter one

Mia's POV

"Wakey wakey, birthday girl." i heard a voice whisper. I groaned and rolled over the opposite way.

"Mia get up, you're turning 18 today." Ashton said, i shot up remembering that i was finally turning into a proper vampire today. I rubbed my eyes tiredly and blinked away the sleep in my eyes, i heard a chuckle beside me.

"Happy birthday, today you stop ageing!" Ashton said waving his hands around. I laughed at his immaturaty.

"Looks like you stopped ageing at 9." I said, getting out of bed. He stopped messing around and walked to my door.

"Your presents are downstairs and breakfast is done." Ashton said before leaving the room. I yawned and walked to the bathroom to take a shower. I locked the door, stripped down and got in.

After my shower, i got changed into some black skinny jeans, a white vest top and my combat boots. I brushed and dried my hair, leaving it down and started my make up with mascara and eye liner. Once i finished everything, I grabbed my leather jacket and walked down stairs.

"Happy birthday, honey." my mum said, kissing my cheek as i walked into the kitchen.

"Thanks." I mumbled, I wasnt really stoked on becoming a vampire. I sat at the table with Harry, Ashton and my dad, i filled my plate with bacon, eggs, toast and sausages. I still get to eat normal food until 12, lunch time to be precise.

Once i finished my breakfast, i opened all my presents which were; a a new phone, a phone case and some money. I grabbed some of my birthday money and shoved it in my pocket with my phone and some gum.

"Ready?" Ashton asked, i nodded and walked out the front door. This is my last year at school, Ashtons too. We're twins but not identical and hes popular, im not.

We arrived at school, i saw my best friend Morgan waiting by the parking lot holding a little balloon that said '18' on and a little birthday bag. Ashton parked the car, got out and locked it up after i got out, he made is way over to his girlfriend of 2 years, her name was Freya. I watched him walk over to her kiss and hug her, she was a vampire too, Ashton changed her a year ago. For some reason, Ashton changed when he was 16.

"Hey birthday girl!" Morgan said hugging me, i smiled and mumbled a 'thank you' for the presents and balloon. We started walking to home room because the bell went off, once we got there we sat in our usual places and waited for the teacher to hurry up and mark us in.

When home room was over we went to our lessons, which today i had;

First: Art

Second: Food tech

Third: Physical Education

Lunch

Fourth: History

Fifth: Chemistry

I had four lessons with Morgan and two with Ashton.

It was now lunch and i had the worst toothache ever. Me and Morgan walked into the canteen and sat in our normal spots and ate.

"So you cant eat human food anymore?" Morgan said, i nodded holding onto my face cause the pain was too much.

"If i did eat it, it would taste like cardboard." i said, i spotted Ashton and quickly ran over to him.

"Ash, my teeth hurt like crazy." i said, holding onto my jaw. He laughed and stared digging around in his bag for something.

"Here you go," he said, giving me a tube of stuff "rub it over your gums and the pain will stop." i nodded and started walking over to my table.

"Oh and Mia, you might want to skip last two lessons." Ashton said seriously, i gave him a confused look but nodded anyway. I sat back down by Morgan and rubbed the gel stuff over my gums.

"I cant come to the last two lessons." I said to Morgan, she nodded understandingly and carried on eating. My phone beeped in my pocket, i looked at it and saw i had a text from my mum.

From: Mum

I'm picking you up at the end of lunch, i said to the school you have the dentist. xx

I replyed with;

To: Mum

Okay, i'll meet you in the office.xx

I slid my phone back in my pocket and slouched in my chair. Bradley - the schools player, started walking over to mine and Morgans table smirking.

"Hey girls" he said, setting his tray down. I gave hime the 'what the fuck' look but he brushed me off. He sat down directly in front of us and started eating.

"And why are you here?" I said, this guy pisses me off to the max. He shrugged and smiled at me, i shook my head in annoyance and clared at him. "We don't want the D thanks, so scatter back to those sluts." i said, venom clear in my voice.

He chuckled and put his legs up on the chair beside me.

"Babe, i know you want it" He said, stuffing 3 or 4 chips in his mouth.

"What, a dick the size of a jelly bean? No thanks, i may aswell go and buy a bag of candy from the shop" I spat, he glared at me and swallowed hard.

"I'd watch your mouth if i was you, missy. Dont want anything happening to your family now, do we?" he said smirking, i sat forward a little more and glared at him.

"You wont do anything, whimp. My family have nothing to do with this" i spat, he chucked his tray on the floor and stood up. "Oooo, badass. You just chucked a tray on the floor." i mimicked.

Just as he went to speak the bell went off, thank you lesson time.

"I would love to stay and chat, but i have to be somewhere." I smiled at him and walked off.
