II

"Do you remember the laughs we had?"

You had asked me

I shook my head with

a small frown

You smiled softly even if

I saw the pain in your eyes

You tell me it's alright

I know you're lying

"Why were you hiding the pain?"

I asked you once

You stayed quiet and didn't say anything

but only stared at me

There was no spark in your eyes at all

I wasn't sure if I should've been scared

or should I have waited

I only heard your silence between us

You took my hand in yours and said

"I'm okay, don't worry."

But I wasn't sure if I should have believed you

when your hands were so cold

even if you radiated heat 

off like the sun
