I get to the theater at 11:34 and see Peter inside. "Hey!" I say waving. "Hey Ruby, you look great, I got you a ticket." He smiled. I looked at the name The Fault In Our Stars. "The movie sounds Fancy, what's it about?" I ask. He looked nervous. "You haven't heard about it? I thought it was a huge deal. A 16-year-old cancer patient, meets and falls in love with this guy a similarly afflicted teen from her cancer support group. She feels that he really understands her. I don't know anything else." he explained. I smiled,"sounds interesting, I'm excited."
We got in line for popcorn and drinks. He asked me what I wanted to drink and a said water. Water, out of all the drinks I could of got to seem I don't know, interesting. He payed for the drinks and popcorn and we walked to the room the movie was showing in. As the previews were playing we talked. I had a hard time paying attention, his sparkling eyes and smile are so distracting. The best part about him is his personal though. He is so funny and selfless. I could feel he is nervous. As we were watching the movie I started to drift off. The movie was cute and all, but I wasn't feeling it. I was tired anyway, I was excited the night before and didn't sleep much. Before I could fall asleep I popped up. I didn't want to seem board or rude to him. I like him and I want this to last a while. The credits started rolling and I stood up to brush popcorn crumbs of my jeans. " How did you like the movie?" Peter asked. "It was good, sometimes a bit confusing though." I replied. He let out a relieved sigh and said, "Thank gosh, I thought I was the only one lost." We both laughed as we were walking out of the theater. "Would you like me to walk you home?" He asked. "Yeah that would be great, are you sure? Don't you live in Queens? You do know Stark Tower is in Manhattan?" Queens is a four hour walk from Manhattan, one hour subway ride, and a forty minute drive. "I know I uh have to get something from Manhattan anyway." I smile as we walk toward my home. "How did you get here anyway?" i ask. "The subway, there is one about a block from the theater." As we stop before crossing the road I kiss Peter on the check. "Thank you, this means so much to me." I whispered. He had a bloody smile the rest of the way home. We are at the doors of the tower and we have to split. "I had a great time, thank you for walking me home." I say. "Anything for you." he said mockingly. We started to stare into each others eyes not knowing what to do. It feels like a force is pulling us closer and closer. Until the door opens and my dad is in the doorway. "Ruby, hope you two had a good time at nitehawk theater. Thank you Peter for walking her home." he said protected and surprised at the same time. How did he know? "Oh, yes sir. Have a nice day Mr.Stark." The only way he could know where we were was Steve.
