A/n: so sorry it took forever, I've been crazy busy with the holidays and all. Not to mention some troubling things in my personal life. Anyway, here's the new chapter.
"Naruto," you whispered guiltily, "I-I'm Sorry.... I-I didn't... I-"
"Don't worry about it," he paused, turning to give you a reassuring smile, "just the frame."
Your eyes widened, he wasn't mad? "B-But I..."
He grinned, "you were just worried, you know?"
You weren't sure how to reply so you turned your gaze to the floor, nodding slightly. You looked up once again to the soft thud of the frame being set onto the oak nightstand.
"Well," he paused, picking up the metallic objects that lay askew on the floor, "these are for you."
He held them out and your eyes widened, he was giving you them? It sounded a little strange but it made you feel trusted and a little safer. You weren't allowed to have weapons at the mental facility. When he handed them to you, you gave him a small smile and gazed at them in appreciation.
Naruto seemed overjoyed, "You know, you should smile more. You look kinda like Sasuke with that blank expression."
Puzzled, you tilted your head to the side, "S-Sasuke?"
Having realized what he just said, his face fell a little, as if just recalling something sad, "Oh, that's right, you don't know him." Naruto paused, walking back over to the photograph and pointing to the dark haired boy, "that's Sasuke."
"Oh," you wanted to ask where he was, but the topic seemed to sadden Naruto.
The blonde seemed to notice your curiosity and continued, "We're friends. He just left the village... But I'm going to bring him back even if it kills me."
Your heart went out to him and you couldn't help but wonder if your parents had felt the same way when you had gone missing. You fiddled with one of the kunai, running your finger over the blade.
"Want to practice?"
You looked up, "C-Can I?"
Naruto chuckled, "of course."

You stared at the target, it was kind of far and you were unsure of yourself. You studied the kunai with uncertainty.
"Don't worry, nobody's perfect on there first try."
You looked at him, nodding shakily.
"Here." He pulled out on of his kunai in demonstration, "you hold it like this."
You nodded, holding yours in the same manner.
"And you throw it like this." He demonstrated, throwing it at the target next to yours. The knife wizzed past in a straight line, until hitting the target dead center.
Your eyes widened, tough act to follow. You redirected your gaze to your own kunai and mimicked the way Naruto had held his before throwing it in the same manner. You were in great shock when it actually hit the target. It wasn't a bulls eye but it was pretty close.
"Hey, nice job," Naruto smiled.

You had practiced for a long time, hours actually, but you were pleased to say that you could hit a bullseye most of the time. You actually quite enjoyed yourself, which was rare of you to say because it wasn't often that you went out of your way for fun. The only person who seemed to have a better time than you was Naruto. He seemed overjoyed to teach you.
Currently, you were walking with Naruto in the frigid night air. You had given him his jacket back, as the night brought a chill. Upon walking home, you noticed the different colored lights that decorated different buildings.
You tugged on Naruto's sleeve, "W-Why the lights?"
Naruto gazed at you quizzically, adding to your confusion, "what do you mean?"
You were puzzled further.
"They're Christmas lights."
You nodded, having almost forgotten. You were familiar with the concept of the holiday, but you couldn't remember celebrating it. Then again, you couldn't remember a lot of things from your childhood. All that you could remember was that place.
"Have you ever celebrated Christmas?"
You weren't exactly sure what to say, but they were sweating you had amnesia anyway so you replied, "I don't know."
"I never really celebrated it myself, I didn't have anyone to celebrate it with till recently. Maybe, we could celebrate together, you know?"
You nodded, curious of what exactly he meant. Lately you'd been quite curious of his backstory. Too afraid to pry, you didn't ask questions.
"We should get some ramen!" Naruto changed the subject cheerily, "wanna go to inchiraku's again?"
You nodded. Naruto grinned and walked cheerily towards the familiar building, you followed softly smiling at how cheerful he was.
Once you were seated and the ramen was placed in front of you, you began to eat the warm noodles. Despite the chill at your back, the heat of the ramen warmed your whole being. It was so delicious that you were almost sad when you were full.

By the time you and the rather energetic blonde were on your way, the moon was looking down upon you, keeping a watchful eye while the neighboring stars glistened. If you looked closely you could see what you believed to be Orion's Belt in the distance.
Walking into the apartment, it dawned on you just how exhausted you were. You longed for sleep, but you couldn't bare to relive those horrific memories. So when Naruto went to sleep. You prepared for another sleepless night.
