A different world

If this world were different, then I'd like to lay down on the grass with you by my side.
I'd look at you, giving all my attention to your face details.
I'd listen to your calm and relaxing voice and try to talk to you without feeling too embarrassed. You'd probably make me laugh, and my ears would be delighted with your sweet laughter. I'd come closer to you to take your glasses away and contemplate your wonderful eyes.
And suddenly it would all disappear: the park, the noises coming from the road, the birds' singing, the rustling of the leaves in the wind.
If only this world were different, could I stand next to you and look at you? Even just for a little while... Just for a little while.
