YOU COULD HARDLY SEE HER through the piles of work on her desk. She had at least three court cases today of which she was the attorney and her associate wasn't even in yet.
She sat reading one of the pro bono cases she was given, she internally rolled her eyes, Alana was the least sympathetic person you would ever know. She didn't like showing love, being emotional and something about romance ticked her off.
Alana sighed putting the case file down and picking up another one. She thought it was going to change. That when she moved up the ladder of lawyers she would be given more crucial cases, like homicide or infanticide cases. But all she got were celebrity divorce ones.
She could remember her boss telling her, "You're very good at keeping private information, so there's this one case. It'll just be one. It may involve two tv personalities but I promise it won't affect your chances at having your own firm"
Alana's has at least five major celebrity cases by now and she couldn't stand all the fake tan and Botox in her life.
But at least it wouldn't be for long. By tomorrow she would be on a plane to Paris, where her family lived at the moment, and spend 3 weeks of shopping, eating and sitting front row at her best friend's fall 18 fashion show.
But tomorrow was twenty-four hours away and she had to get ready for these cases if she didn't want to lose her job.
