You had just walked into a bar after running away from your parent's home. Despite how much you wanted to be a starfleet cadet, they could not find it in their heart to support you.
Trying to mellow down some of your sorrow you ordered two shots of whiskey.

After downing both in two seconds flat, you heard a chuckle coming from the man sitting next to you.
"A whiskey girl huh?"
You turned to him and noticed his cropped brown hair and light brown eyes. You could not deny that he was handsome.
"Every girl needs a drink or two."
"I can't shake that logic." He chuckled.
You both shifted in your stools to face each other. He reached out his hand,
"Leonard Mcoy, at your service, call me bones if you want, everyone does."
You grabbed his outstretched hand and shook it.
"(y/f/n) (y/l/n), it's a pleasure to meet you."

It was then that you noticed something shiny on the left side of his chest. A badge.
"A medical officer?.....you're starfleet?!"

Bones looked at you with wide eyes before looking frantically from side to side. He grabbed your arm and dragged you out the front door of the bar.
"God dammit (y/n), do you wanna say that any louder?"
You look at him with shock.
"So you ARE!"
"YES! yes I am, but it's not meant to be publicly known..."

You take a step back and smile mischievously.
"HELLO, EVERY ONE! THIS MAN RIGHT HERE IS A STARmphflbrph."
Bones covered your mouth with his hand as he swore under his breath.
"(y/n), what are you doing!"
You removed his hand from your face and looked up at him innocently.
"Just a little blackmail."
He narrowed his eyes.
"What do you want?"
You felt a surge of success.
"I want you to get me into starfleet academy."

~~~Time Skip~~~
It had been four years since Bones had snuck you onto a ship and successfully enrolled you into starfleet academy. During the years you had been training to be a medical officer. Bones being the only person you knew, caught up with you regularly. Even helping you study at times. You both had become great friends and dependent on one another.
What Bones didn't know though, was that you had grown feelings for him over the years. You did not dare tell a soul about it, you tried not to show it but suppressing them did not make your feelings disappear, if anything, it made them grow. Every smile you shared. Every brush of your hand against his sent shivers up your arm, warming your heart. You were fine with this for now...but someday...someday you were going to tell him, demand he show his true feelings and make him yours. You were sure of that.
