Summer Love (Matt Espinosa)

4th of July

Daniela's POV

It was 6:00 pm and Matt told me about Taylor's party, Shawn also told me about it. Of course, I was going with Shawn. If not, he would find out Matt and I were dating. I changed into a USA flag crop top and dark jean shorts. I put my white vans on and put on a snapback. I sprayed my perfume and walked downstairs with Shawn. We took the car keys and drove to Taylor's. In case you didn't know. Shawn and I are Canadian but since we live here since we're little, we also consider ourselves Americans. That's why we celebrate the 4th of July. We could hear the music blasting four blocks away from there, this is sick.

"Be careful with what you do" Shawn said

"Of course I will," I said scared

I walked in the party, and got separated from Shawn by a lot of people greeting him. I guess no one knows me here, because I don't study in their school, I used to have friends here but I haven't seen them like in three years. I don't know how they are now.

I sat on the kitchen counter alone, Matt texted me saying he will be a bit late, so I sat alone.

I got really, really bored so I went to where some of my friends were. I saw Cameron and sat with him.

"Hey Dan, are you enjoying the party?" he asked

"️Nope, I'm bored.. and alone" he laughed

"I also am!" He yelled "Nash is dancing with Lilly, so I have absolutely nothing to do"

Two boys came to us and one sat next to me, the other one sat next to Cam we looked at them in a strange way,and continued talking

"Hey " one of them said "I'm Marcus"

"I'm Grant" the other one smiled

"Hey, Marcus, and Grant" Cam did a little handshake with them

"I'll be right back Carter is calling me," Cam said and left

"We haven't seen you here before" Grant said

"What's your name" Marcus asked

"I'm Daniela" I smiled

"Wait, are you Shawn's sister?" Grant asked

"Yeah, why?"

"Well, he talks about you a lot, you are also Matt's girlfriend right?"

"Yess.." I said uncomfortable

"Dan, come here" Johnny said literally saving me

"Thanks" I whispered

"Its ok"

I sat with him and Drake on the mini bar and just talked while drinking soda, I didn't want to get drunk. Neither, Johnny and Drake.

"Where's Matt?" I asked

"Here I am" he yelled running to us

"Where were you?" Johnny asked him

"Home, cleaning my room" I laughed

"Oh fine" We all laughed

He sat next to me, and wrapped his arm around my waist. We were hating on people who were there getting drunk. And laughing very hard

"Time for the fireworks" a drunk dude said

"Let's go"

Johnny, Drake, Matt and I went to a perfect spot. We stood there and saw how the sky lighted up, it was amazing. I saw Shawn at the other side of the pool and pushed Matt away from me, he gave me a confused look and I pointed to the front. That's when he found out so he nodded and laughed.

The party went on perfectly, I went to the mini bar again and sat with Johnny, Drake and Matt. A boy covered his mouth and walked to me. I half smiled, but he almost died when he saw me.

"Daniela Claire Mendes..?!" he smiled

"Christopher Armstrong?" I yelled jumping out of my seat

"Dude, I missed you!" I hugged him

Chris has been my best friend since like forever, I know him since kindergarden and it was one of the most painful things leaving his side.

Matthew's POV

Daniela was hugging that dude, and of course I know him! he's Christopher Armstrong. A popular kid, who's rich, has a lot of girls dying because of him, and well has had a lot of girlfriends but he loves only one girl, out of a million he likes one.

And that's Daniela.

My Daniela,

Daniela's POV

"Want to hang for a while?" he asked me

"Yeah, let me tell Matt"

I walked to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek,

"I'll be right back Matt, I love youu"

"Be safe, Dan"

He said grabbing my waist,

"Obviously, babe"

.......

"So what's up with you and Matt?" Chris asked

"Well.... he's my boyfriend" I blushed

"Oh.."

He said after that every single moment was awkward. I felt tension between us two. So after a while I said goodbye and looked for Matt who was dancing on the dance floor. I walked to him and he grabbed my hand he spun me around, we started dancing like professionals, and it was pretty cool, we were practically calling everyone's attention even though we didn't do a big thing

Later that night, Mom called me so I went back home with Shawn. I went immediately to my bed and closed my eyes.
