Chapter 11||

Alex's POV

"I love you too." Is what James said before dozing off to sleep. I pull him closer to me and look over him carefully, taking in every detail. If you look closely you can see little freckles on his nose and on his cheekbones. I love him so much. And he's all mine.

I was going to meet up/beat the shit out of the alpha of the EasternSpring Pack (Daniel) today but I cancelled it this morning when James collapsed because I wanted to make sure that he was okay and spend some time with him. I'm meeting up with Daniel tomorrow evening. I couldn't be angrier with him, he almost killed my mate from starvation! If I didn't come to their pack when I did I probably would have been too late.

I wrap my arms around my mate protectively. I'll need to make sure that James isn't around when I rip out Daniel's throat because he's way too innocent to witness something like that.

I nuzzle my face into the nape of his neck and breath in his calming sent. James's injuries seem to have healed a lot, besides his stitches from what he did this morning. Since werewolf's heal a lot quicker then humans. I hope that he becomes fully healed soon because I don't know how long I can hold off marking and claiming him. My wolf has been waiting for our mate for a long time, and so have I.

Tomorrow is also the day that I'll introduce James to the members of my pack.

I'm excited to introduce him to my pack members but I'm scared that he may feel intimidated by the members of my pack and feel nervous. I'm pretty sure he has some anxiety issues and I don't want him having a panic attack. I'll make sure to keep a very close eye on James and what my pack members are doing tomorrow, especially because there seems to be a good amount of werewolf's in my pack that are homophobic.

I've not yet come out to my pack yet but my betas and some of my close friends are aware that I'm gay. I'm not ashamed of being gay, I'm just scared of what they may try to do to James when they find out. And if they do anything to James, I'll happily rip them to shreds. James is mine!

I hear him softly snore in his sleep, I'd usually be annoyed when people snore but when he snores it's so cute and quiet, it almost sounds like soft purring. I smile and rest my head on his shoulder and then fall asleep.

James's POV

I wake up to gentle nuzzling on the nape of my neck and blush when I see a sleeping Alex nuzzling his face into the nape of my neck. Cute. I yawn and rub my eyes, I wonder what we are going to do today? My arms don't hurt when I move them around anymore and my ribs feel a lot better. I wonder when I will get these bandages off.

I'm hungry. I shyly on Alex's back in an attempt to wake him up and I feel him turn to face me, he yawns and kisses the top of my head making me smile. "Can we go eat breakfast?" I ask him shyly and he nods "Of course, come on." He gets up out of bed and picks me up I wrap my arms around his neck and he walks out of the bedroom.

"Where are we going?" I ask curiously. "To the kitchen, we are going to be eating with my most trusted pack members of my pack this morning. And don't worry, these are very nice people, I trust them with my life." I nod. I trust Alex but I can't help feeling a bit nervous. I'm not really sure how to act in front of people, especially since I've basically spent my whole life locked up in a basement being beat up.

We make it to the kitchen and I mentally gasp at how pretty it is. Alex puts me in a seat and then sits in the one beside mine. I see a women cooking some breakfast and she greets me and Alex with a cheery "Good morning!"and I reply with a shy "g-good morning" back.

She then turns her attention to me and then looks over at Alex "Alex, pardon me but who is this?" She says in a kind voice and Alex reply's with "Good morning Alyssa. This is James, he is my mate." She then looks at me and starts smiling like a crazy person. "Really! Omg you are just too cute! I'm so happy for you Alex! You've been searching for your mate for so long, Where was he?" She said excitedly.

"I found him in the basement of the EasternSpring Pack's pack house, starving to death and covered with bruises." He replied coldly. Her expression quickly turns into one of pity, anger and sadness. "Oh my god. I'm so sorry, both of you." She reply's with a serious tone. "Don't think that I'm gonna let them get away with what they did, I'm meeting up with them tonight. We're gonna have a little chat."

She nods. He's meeting up with my old pack?! Tonight?! I'm not ready to see them again, They'll hurt me! Alex must have noticed my sudden change of attitude. "It's okay James, I'm not letting them near you. They can't hurt you now that I'm here." I calm down a bit but my anxiety is still going crazy. He moves closer to me and kisses my cheek, making me blush.

I've always been terrified of the people in my pack. No one there has ever treated me well besides my mother, and she's long gone. I wonder if Alex has any family members, I bet he does though, most alphas have big family's. But I won't ask now, I'm too hungry for that, I refused to eat much yesterday because I wasn't feeling well from all of the blood loss and the smell of the food that that lady is mouth watering.

I wonder what she's cooking.

Time skip!

The lady who was cooking breakfast walks over and hands us each a plate of food and some orange juice. It doesn't take too long for me and Alex to finish eating and oh my god it was so good! Alex told me these things were pancakes and the maple syrup stuff was so sweet! It was very good.

It was the nicest breakfast I've ever eaten! Both me and Alex say thank you to the nice lady who made us breakfast and then go into what Alex calls the living room and we watch a movie called home alone. It was a really funny movie and during the movie me and Alex snuggled and ended up falling asleep during the movie credits.
