The proposal
• ok so he'd be planning this for far too long because he wants everything to go perfect right.

• he'd have Harrison help him out because he knows damn well he'd need help planning everything. and besides, he can't keep a secret.

• that being said, he may or may not have told everyone he knew about it.

• so that means literally everyone knew except for you, obvs.

• he was just so excited about finally being able to call you his wife that he couldn't help himself.

• he wouldn't shut up about it either.

• "oi, mate, I get it. If you don't shut up I'm proposing to her in your behalf." Harrison would tell Tom whenever he got a little too intense talking about the subject.

• keeping something as big as this away from you would be so hard for him, sometimes he just thought "screw it, imma just propose right now."

• but then he started thinking about how he wanted this to be one of the most important moment of your lives, and that meant that everything had to go incredibly perfect.

• ok so the big day is finally here and Tom is so nervous he can barely deal with himself.

• he's just so worried about how everything's gonna go.

• and nervousness usually leads him to overthinking which isn't good at all.

• he'd have thoughts like "what if she says no?" "am I rushing things?" "is marriage too soon?" the thoughts would go on and on.

• but soon enough Harrison is comforting him and telling him everything will be fine.

• so even though the two of you live together, he'd still leave a little post-it note attached to the fridge that read 'pick you up at 8, wear something fancy' and he'd draw a cute lil smiley face and a heart, which made yours swell.

• anyway so he picks you up, like literally knocking on the door despite having his own key and acting like a proper gentleman.

• he'd open the car door for you and compliment the way you look in the pale pink dress you picked out.

• "can I ask what's the occasion?" you ask as he starts driving.

• smirking, he gives you a quick look before saying, "the occasion is that I love you."

• dinner would go amazing as per usual, although this time Tom was a nervous mess the whole night, rubbing his sweaty hands on his jeans every so often.

•!but he managed to play it cool because he's an actor after all. "if I can fight tennis boards pretending they're villains I'm sure I'll be able to act as if I'm not about to ask the girl I love to be my wife, right?"

• after paying for your food, his treat, of course, he'd take you to the park where you both had your first kiss because, let's face it, that boy is the most cliché person you'll ever meet.

•!"what are we doing here?" you'd ask smiling as the memories of that day fill your mind.

• "I figured this would be the best place to ask you this question," before you could even notice, Tom got on one knee in front of you, making your heart stop. "(y/n), since the day I met you, you've done nothing but make me happy. I can always be myself when I'm around you and I feel like I'll never be able to thank you for it. You make me who I am. What I'm trying to say here is; if you give me the honor to be yours forever, I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same way."

• taking the tiny velvet box out of his pocket and opening it, he'd say; "so (y/n) (l/n), will you marry me?" He'd give you a little nervous smile.

• with tears in your eyes, you'd whisper; "yes. What the hell, yes!"

•!quickly standing up, Tom would wrap his arms around you and spin around before kissing your forehead and sliding the beautiful diamond ring through your wedding finger.

• "I love you so much." He'd say before kissing you.

The engaged life
• ok so we all know how extra™ Tom is.

• that being stated, he'd be the most extra fiancé you've ever seen.

• he'd go around pointing out how the two of you were engaged.

• like when you met people at a party or some meeting he'd go "this is my fiancé, (y/n)."

• or in interviews, he'd be like "yeah, I was talking about that with my fiancé the other day-" or "I'm very happy with my life at the moment, and that's mainly because of my lovely fiancé, (y/n)."

• and of course he had to make the announcement to the fans as extra as possible.

• cause, ya know, it's Tom we're talking about.

• he'd take a picture of his hand intertwined with yours, making sure the ring was visible.

• the caption would be "see that ring? Yeah. I just got engaged to the love of my life after planning it for almost a month. But it's honestly no biggie. How's your friday night?"

• lol who am I kidding he'd post a million instagram stories as well showing you and your ring off.

• and he'd do a livestream too because he can never be too extra.

• one day he'd overhear you and his mum talking about the wedding and it would just hit him how much he loved you and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you.

• press tour would be the hardest time for him because he'd miss you much more now.

• he'd facetime call you every night. "I miss you so much," you'd say while snuggling on your side of the bed you shared with him.

• "I miss you too, darling." He'd give you a sad smile through the screen. "But hey! We're getting married in 125 days, isn't that great?" He'd say, suddenly getting excited.

• he'd literally call or text you every night reminding you how much time was left for him to call you his wife.

• cause he can't help being extra.

• "lemme see the ring one more time," he'd say and you'd lift your hand up so he could see through his phone, showing him the engagement ring.

• and he'd smile like the biggest goofball on the planet because he just can't believe he's marrying the love of his life and wOW i need a break.

• "babe, did you choose your wedding dress already?" He'd ask you one morning as you were having breakfast.

• and you'd literally look at him like ???????? because the wedding would be in september... and it was only june. "um, no??"

• "exCUSE ME? what do you mean 'no'?"

• "Tom, we're getting married in three months. There's plenty of time-"

• "you're going shopping with my mum today." he'd say, cutting you off.

• you'd playfully roll your eyes at him. "you're too eager."

• "well how couldn't I? I'm getting married to the most beautiful human being there has ever been."
