sunday cuddles (headcanon)

• wowowow ok so tom would be away for press tour right

• saying you miss him is an understatement

• and he wasn't supposed to come back home for like another two weeks

• but baby boy couldn't take it anymore

• he just misses you so much and wants to be able to hold you in his arms again

• so he begs his manager to let him fly home for a couple of days

• he doesn't tell you about his plan though

• cause he wants to make it a surprise

• anyways so one day you're laying on the couch

• wrapped in blankets with a bowl of popcorn by your side

• and watching a random film on netflix

• cause ya know, it's lazy sunday

• and you have nothing better to do

• when suddenly you hear noises at the door

• you don't bother to get up though

• and then tom walks into the living room with a suitcase by his side

• the biggest smile appears on his tired sleepy face at the sight of you

• and it's safe to say that you're shook™

• cause what the fuck?????? he was supposed to be on the other half of the world

• your eyes open widely and you're too shocked to speak

• so tommy boy breaks the silence by saying "aren't you gonna hug me, darling?"

• so you quickly get up from your place on the sofa and wrap your arms tightly around his neck as he picks you up

• your legs wrap around his waist and he spins you around

• lmao my heart is literally breaking as i write this

• once he stops and puts you back on the ground, your hands find their way to his face and you gently stroke his cheeks with a goofy smile plastered on your lips

• "how are you even here?"

• "I was missing you like crazy and had to come" he says with a shrug, smiling from ear to ear

• your heart bursts with so much love

• cause you really can't believe this boy

• "is everyone okay with it?" you ask, not wanting to be the reason he gets in trouble

• "chill, it's fine" tom reassures you before pecking your nose, and then your lips

• you spend the rest of the day cuddled up on the couch, holding each other close

• you weren't even paying attention to the movie playing in front of you

• tom's hair was much more interesting to you

• his head would be resting on your chest as he hugs your waist

• and of course, your hands immediately fly up to his hair

• you entertain yourself by playing with it, slightly tugging at the ends and massaging his scalp

• tom would sigh contently under his breath as he snuggles even closer to you

• he'd bury his face in between your boobs, taking in your scent

• it wasn't even in a sexual way, he just wanted to be as close to you as possible

• slowly but surely, he'd start drifting off to a much needed sleep as you run your hands soothingly through his hair

• you take notice of this soon enough and just smile to yourself at the sight of your sleeping boyfriend laying on top of you

• his right leg would be wrapped around your body

• you'd reach out for the remote, turning the tv off

• tom would shift slightly while mumbling things you can't understand

• your left hand would gently stroke his forehead as your other one kept running through his hair

• "I love you, darling" you hear tom mumble unconsciously in his sleep

• you feel your heart skip a beat as the biggest smile takes over your lips

• you press a light kiss on the top of his head

• "I love you too, baby" you whisper, not wanting to wake him up "so goddamn much"
