"Wait. What about you. How are you going to get ready?"

"I also brought my clothes here." She reassured me. I simply nodded and she started getting me prepped. I worried about how I was gonna look. I was always told that my sense of fashion was "cute".. but I've always hated the way I looked in dresses and with makeup and everything. I can't remember the last time I had ever gotten dressed up for anything.
But today, will be the day I get dressed up..

"Oh my gosh.... you look absolutely stunning."
Were the words of Angie. She even had a few tears in her eyes, but vowed not to let them slip.
She had taken her time to get ready a lot faster than she took with me. Maybe because it was herself? I'm not sure. But she looked beautiful. Like an absolute queen.

"Well. I am going to head over to the dance." Angie said.

"Wait what?" I asked, getting up from my bed and walking over to her
"I-.. I thought you were coming with us." I didn't want to sound too disappointed. But I also didn't want to be alone in the same room as my brother and Parker

"I am meeting my date at the dance. And I wouldn't want to intrude on you and Parker. He probably has something special planned for the two of you before the dance anyway." She gave me a wink then left. I was sad to watch her leave. I'd wanted her to stay.
I heard her car start, and then she pulled out of the driveway.
I trusted her with my look. I still hadn't looked in the mirror yet. I was too scared.
What if I didn't like it? Or what if (more likely) I just naturally looked bad in it, and Angie was saying "stunning" as a cover up.

Ugh. I shouldn't be so shallow. She would never do that to me. I know she wouldn't.
I heard the doorbell ring, and as I soon as I did, I paced over to my window to find the challenger parked outside of my house.

He's here.

"Athie... Parker's here!" I heard Ryder yell. I didn't want to go. Was it too late to change minds?  Could I possibly just jump out of the window instead?

No! Grow some balls!

You're right me, thanks

Anytime.

As soon as I was done talking to myself, I looked in the mirror. I couldn't even speak. I looked... beautiful. And I couldn't believe. I still had a bandage on my arm, but it was like it wasn't even there. It felt nonexistent. For the first time, I couldn't manage to look away from the mirror. Most of the time I glance and immediately look away.
But not this time.

(AUTHORS NOTE: this is Athie's look!!)

I slowly stared walking down the stairs. Filled with tons of different emotions. But that all soon vanished when I saw the faces of Ryder and Parker.

Ryder looked amazed. Probably that I was actually able to look good for once. I bet he didn't know that his little sister cleaned up pretty nicely.
Hell, I didn't even know.

But Parker... no amount of words could describe him at this moment. He was wearing an all black Tux. His hair was smoothly shaped back and he had a little bit of scruff on his face that looked tamed and organized. He looked stunning, sophisticated, gorgeous.

But from the look on his face, he thought even more of me.
He gulped and swallowed air before speaking, I watched as he tried to speak words, yet nothing came out. His Adam's apple was moving up and down before he finally could manage to give out a few syllables
"Y-..y-you look..." he couldn't finish. A small thought passed through my head.
What if he didn't like it? But then that thought was washed over by reality. He couldn't describe how I looked.
"No amount of words... can describe how beautiful you look..." he said in a soft tone.

I smiled at him and took his hand that he gently gave out. I nodded my head at Ryder but didn't say any words. Simply walked out of the house and got into the car. I wasn't planning on waiting for anyone.

Parker seemed to get the hint as I saw him rushing out of the house and over to the drivers side of the car. When he got in, I still didn't say anything.

"Ath-.."

Almost at an instinct, my hand reached up and turned the dial up on the radio, blasting music through out the car before he could speak out any words.

If he didn't understand that I wasn't talking before, he definitely understands now.
