Wanna know something?

I was not prepared for whatever is beyond that door.
Did I practice? Sure, everyday. Am I good enough?
Hell no.

My eyes travel throughout the room of many hopeful dancers. Some practice in a corner, some right in the middle of the room.

They've got moves. Good ones? YES. Since there are mostly guys here who seem to have been training non stop since most of them are quite well built.

Compared to me, I must seem like a tiny roach.

I panic at the thought of one of them accidentally stepping on me due to not being able to see me. But then I snap myself out of it by telling myself that they are people, and I'm also a people, I'm pretty sure they would see me.

I watch as the guy in the middle of the room practices his dance moves. Damn, he's good.
I'm pretty sure I should also be practicing, but I've practiced so much I'm kinda sick of it.

I get a ding from my phone.
I pull it out of my jacket pocket.

Did you think I was gonna forget?
Smash those wannabes right out of the building with your sweag! Oh and your dance moves.
You got this Kat!
Thinking of you!!

I smile as I read the message.
Sweag? Yeah right.

I put my phone back in my pocket and pull out a small business card that I received last week.

It had the logo of BigHits on the front and some numbers. On the back was a hand written adress of this building.

I think back to that day and how this card ended up taking me down a new path.

The streets were busy, which was good for me. I've been performing here for about a week now and I've received good tips. More than my dad had to bet.

I'll admit, coming to Korea was a big step but it was my desicion. I left college to come here and might I add that my parents were furious.
Choosing dance over becoming a doctor? Yeah they had every reason to be.

I moved here with my best friend however since she was also looking for change and thought we could find it together. I don't think I could have even found an apartment without her help let alone think about what to have for dinner. She is so organized it gives me a headache. But she makes up for it by helping me practice and make recording videos of me dancing, that's what a good friend is.

Throughout my dance to Touch by Little Mix, a tall man walks up to me and motions me to stop. He simply nods with a slight "Anyeong." before giving me the card.

"What is this for?" I ask.

"Dance. You dance, we see if you worthy." he smiled, nods and walks off.

After that day I did a little research of BigHits and found out that they were one of the biggest record labels for Kpop in Korea. And they wanted me to dance for them? Holy shit.

"Kat Raymond"

I snapped my head out of the flashback as I looked up at the same man who gave me the business card from that day.

I hesitated before moving towards the door. I followed him down a hallway which contained posters of the different groups they manage.
I noticed one I do in fact know of. BTS. I saw them on their website.

I entered the room at the end of the hallway and can i say that it felt like I just walked into a ballroom of the Royal Palace. This place was huge. A wide space just for dancing.
