Chapter Seven

Kara's POV

Nick and I walked up to the bar, each passing minute making me more anxious inside, a gut feeling of remorse, regret, and excitement. The wind blowing the leaves, the sky was clouded looking like it was about to rain. All the serpents were inside the bar, and no wonder there were none outside. The sky looked like it was about to unleash hell, with dark blues and greys almost black.

"Wait—" I paused stopping where I stood.

"Yeah?" He asked stopping along with me.

"I've heard some of them are well, mean to northsiders. I'm technically one, so will some of them be mean to me?" I asked. Where I lived was basically where the southside and northside split. Our house was on the northside.

He sighed, putting his hand on my shoulder. "It'll be fine, Kara, I promise. Now come on." He smiled.

"O-Okay." I nervously said as we continued walking until we were in the serpent bar, the Whyte Wyrm.

We walked inside, the glow of red neon words staggered in the window reflected in our eyes. The sound of drinks clinking clang at my ears, while wooden pool sticks slamming against the plastic pool balls made the anxious feeling inside me increase ten fold.

Nick immediately walked with me over to a lounge area. It was close to the bar, but behind a pool table. Nick immediately saw someone, not recognizable to me of course, but greeted them anyways with a childish bro hug. I turned around looking at all of my surroundings, then back to see the guy Nick was talking to.

Woah that guy is cute!

"Hey, Finn!" Nick said, with a big smile.

Finn's muscles are practically bulging through his shirt.

"Hey, Nick, hows it going man?! I haven't seen you for days, where you been?"

His voice! Wow that's amazing.

"Finn, you've been gone for ages" Nick laughed sarcastically, punching him on the shoulder. Finn ran his hand through his hair, partly laughing.

That laugh! That hair! Ugh that black luxurious hair!

"Yeah you're right I guess, I just had to skip town for awhile to avoid my grandparents, which I just found out moved to Riverdale." He said rolling his eyes. "And while I did I ran into some ghoulies." He finished, lifting up his shirt showing nick the large stab mark on his pale abs.

"That's rough man" Nick scoffed as Finn put his shirt back down. Then he turned to me.

Oh crap!

"Hey, you must be Kara, right?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm Kara nice to meet you" I smiled and reached out to shake his hand. He gently shook it and I gazed into his eyes as he smiled back.

HIS EYES!!! They're like a gorgeous aqua color! Omg I'm in lo—

"Nice to meet you too, I'm Finn" He smiled, simultaneously cutting off my thoughts. "Well I think we should all go sit down with the other serpents and talk about you joining." He explained and I nodded. He led us to where the other serpents our age were sitting, while some of the others played pool. When the three of us came over I got glances from all of them. They all stopped what they were doing and turned to face me.
