Koji Uzumaki walked the halls of Narusegawa Academy. His hair was bleached to a box brand blond and styled in a way that people knew he was a punk. The thing with Koji was that he loved to monologue everything he did. Either in his head or even out loud. It was hard to ignore him if he was monologuing but, all the students in his 1-D class did. "I, Koji Uzumaki, am Sixteen years old and a delinquent at Narusegawa Highschool! I skip class, Smoke cigarettes on the roof and I just passed my initiation into this schools' gang! To think all it took was to dye my hair and roll up my sleeves! My life is great! Nothing can ruin this day, Even the weather is great!" He bolstered as he passed a large row of windows. Koji looked out on to the school field and gleamed ear to ear at the thought that one day he might surpass the current Banchou and become leader himself. This caused him to Laugh out loud as if his inner monologue was just so smug that he had to show everyone else in the hallway. That is until he walked right into a small girl with blonde hair. Her books scatter across the floor and without even a glance at who it was Koji had to show that he was indeed a gang member.
"Oops! E-Excuse me! Sorry!"
"Hey! Who the hell do you think you are bumping into me?!!"
"Oh dear, you made me drop my books." The girl said, completely ignoring Koji as he fumed over this endeavor. "Who cares about your dumb books! You bumped into me!" The girl bent over and picked up her books and sighed loudly to herself. "You could have moved too Uzumaki." She stood up and patted dirt off her uniform. "Wait," Koji said, confused by her reply. "How do you know my name?" The girl adjusted her glasses and looked up at him. "Really?" She replied, "It's me, Sakura Narusegawa. We went to junior high together?" She pointed at herself as if to physically make him look her over. As he did, he looked her up and down, "plump legs...Cute thigh highs... short cut skirt. Now to the shirt, cute sweater... D sized breasts... interesting key neckless... Blonde hair..." He was slapped by the girl in front of him. "Seriously Uzumaki! Look at my damn eyes!" Koji held a hand on his face and reared back as if to yell at her but when he looked into her eyes something came to mind. "Sakura..." It took him a bit more, the image of a crazed middle schooler in a green uniform came to mind and he slapped himself across the face. "Cherry?!" He exclaims as the name finally came to him. "Cherry the Unstopped Banchou of West Middle?!" Sakura lunged at him and covered his mouth. "Shhhhh!!!! Don't you say that name here! I have a rep to protect! Meet me on the roof at my lunchtime! That's 1 got it?" Koji nodded his head quickly while his mouth was still covered by her gloved hands. "Good. Now shoo! I have to get to my English class." Sakura ran passed Koji as he stood there dumbfounded.
Sakura turned the corner and stopped. She leaned against the wall and slid down, her hands through her blonde hair. The look of worry spread across her face as well as panic. As this happened two girls walked up to her and knelt in front of her. "Sakura, Girl what's wrong?" Asked a girl with light brown hair and way too much makeup on. "You're going to be late for English if you don't hurry." Said the other girl, she had black hair and very pale makeup on. "I just ran into a boy I went to junior high with and I'm really not doing good." The two girls helped her up and patted her back. "Oh man, Ex-Boyfriend troubles. Girl, I understand that." Sakura sighed. "Yeah sure Midori, Ex-boyfriend troubles." Midori opened a makeup compact and put a bit of blush on Sakura's face. "What are you going to do about it?" The other asked. "Well, I told him to meet me at lunch... He's kind of a delinquent so I know he'll meet me there." Sakura and the two girls walked towards there class. "Oh yeah, girl! Nanami did that once with her Ex and O.M.F.G girl she like totally almost pushed him off the roof." Nanami shrugged and fixed her hair up a bit. "He cheated on me and tore up my Edger Allen Poe book. It really hurt my Aura." Nanami said opening the door to the classroom. She let Sakura and Midori through before she closed it behind herself. "Maybe I should just push him off the roof then." Midori and Nanami both looked at each other. "Girl, He must have done something bad!" Sakura chuckled softly, Sat down at her desk in the middle row and pulled out her English book. The two girls sat next to her on both sides.
A few hours went by and It was now Sakura's lunch period. She grabbed her food and handed her bag to Midori. "I'll be on the roof, If I don't come back before lunch is over, I need you to put this behind the school. I might have killed him." Midori and Nanami gave her a thumbs up as she ran out of the classroom and up the stairs to the roof. With each step, she felt herself getting sick thinking about the situation. At the last step she pulled out a key for the roof door, she was given special permission from the headmaster to have her own roof key. As she got up, she noticed the lock was completely smashed. "Of course, It is." She sighed opening the door.
Koji leaned against the fence that surrounded the top of the school. He had a cigarette in his mouth and a pork bun in hand. He would take a bite then take a puff and repeat. That is until he saw Sakura open the door to the roof and walk through looking for him. "Oi! Cherry over here!" He shouted to her. She placed her finger to her lips and shhed him. "Shut Up idiot! Only special students get the keys to go up here!" She placed her food by the door heading back to the school and walked over to Koji. "Okay. What questions do you have?" She asked him, her arms crossed. He finished his pork bun and flicked his cigarette over the fence. "Okay... How about what the heck happened?!" He said throwing his hands up. "What turned the most badass leader I have ever followed to this bookwormish fragile girl?" Sakura placed her hands on her hips and scowled at him. "Call me fragile again and you'll be in the hospital." Koji took a step back from her and gulped. Worried she would show him how strong she still was.
"Do you remember that huge fight between our school and North high?" Sakura asked him, not really happy about having to explain her situation to him. "Yeah. The day you beat up three Policemen for trying to take Mistkuni Watanabe to jail for almost killing the Chief's son." Sakura shrugged. "Well, they put me in jail for the night and my Grandmother came to bail me out. Though it wasn't that easy. She gave me a choice, either quit being the punk Banchou and change my way or spend 7 years in prison for nearly killing an officer. As you can see, I changed my ways." She took off her glasses and pulled down her hair. "Though. It was hard, I didn't want to change my ways, I had been like that for years. I had to suppress my urge to beat punks to the ground. I had to act the innocent way. I had to wear these stupid gloves everywhere I went because It wasn't, Quote, ladylike, to have scars." She pulled off her gloves. Battle scars cover her arms and parts of her hands. "I had to change everything about myself that I liked just so I wouldn't get placed in a woman's prison halfway across the damn country. The only good thing about this," She said pausing and looking out onto the sports field in the back of the school. "Was that I got to go to the school my family owned." She smiled off into the distance. "I didn't want to ruin the school's reputation with my thug outlook on life, so I was going to go to west high and become the Banchou there. Using Cherry as my name to keep my family legacy safe. But I don't have to do that anymore. I'm here and I'm representing the school for what it's here for. Education."
Koji's face went from contempt from finally getting the answers he needed to completely annoyed. "So, you're giving up." He said back to her. "Well, I have to. I'll go-"
"I followed you here to work under you! I wanted to be your underling till I left this school! I got great grades because I knew this was the school you wanted to go to. I got a damn scholarship, so my family could afford this damn place and you're telling me that you're giving up!"
Sakura grabbed Koji by his collar. She pulled him down a bit towards her and put his face in hers. "I can't do this anymore," Sakura said, fire in her eyes. " If you tell anyone who I really am, I will break my oath, I will fight you. I will kill you and no one will know what happened. Are we clear?" She said letting go of his collar and rushing over to her food. "If you say anything to anyone. I will never forgive you." She picked up her lunch and rushed down the steps back into the school, leaving Koji on the roof, annoyed and scared at the same time. The only thing he could think of to do was get even with her. Tell a little story to his new Banchou and Destroy her reputation. As he started to light another cigarette a teacher walked through the roof doors and spotted him. "HEY! I thought I smelt smoke up here!" Koji ran off to the other roof door and tried to escape the teacher. He couldn't get suspended just yet. He jumped from ledge to ledge of the stairs and hurried his way to the back of the school where he knew his boss and the other Delinquents sat.
"BOSS! BOSS! BOSS!" Koji shouted as he ran, almost out of breath. "Wha-" The boss was about to reply but was interrupted by Koji's hand being held up as if to say wait hold on I need air. "What?!" A Student with a large pompadour said grinding his teeth into his cigarette annoyed by this boy in front of him. "Cherry! Cherry the unstoppable Banchou of West Middle is here! She's a student here!" The pompadour wearing Banchou stood up, towering over Koji as he walked forward. "Cherry?" He asked picking up Koji by his collar. "The Cherry?" He asked again, his eyes squinting at Koji in order to scare him. "Y-Yes! She's saying that she could easily take over our gang sir!" Koji lied through his teeth, the only way he knows he could get back at her. "She said what?! That's it." He dropped Koji and walked over to his bag, pulling out a piece of paper and started writing. "She's going to get it. Put this in her bag before School ends. We are going to settle this." He handed Koji the note. "This afternoon. Cherry won't know what hit her." Koji smiled as he snuck into Sakura's class during a gym class. He went into her bag and put the note right on top. "This will teach you to not give up."
