Everyone was staring.
And it wasn't just the typical glance either.
No, everyone was really staring.
She should be use to it---the staring, that is. Her parents and the rest of her aunts, uncles and grandparents were war heroes. Her uncle's The Chosen One.
But this time around, they weren't staring through her because she's her parents daughter. No, this time, people actually stared at her. And for the first time ever, Rose felt self-conscious.
Their family, friends, the whole school---even some of the teachers were staring at the so called newly formed 'couple'.
"Everyone's staring at us," Rose whispered to Scorpius, who strode along by her side as they made their way to the Gryffindor table.
The sight was blinding to their spectators. It was uncommon to find the two speaking to each other so calmly, much less walk together to breakfast willingly.
And when they actually did, everyone could hear the two bickering several corridors down about anything and everything.
"Let them," he simply stated.
Rose could only wish for such a carefree attitude.
The two finally arrived at their seats, plopping down on the bench before their family before proceeding to eat.
Rose couldn't help but feel uncomfortable under the gazes that people were giving her. The hall was more silent than usual, and when she sneaked a look around the hall, even the Slytherins were gawking.
The red head sighed, which didn't go unnoticed by the boy. He nudged her, "Just don't look, alright? Ignore 'em. Now eat."
During the night before their little appearance, the two spent the evening coming up with a game plan to make their whole charade convincing and very envy worthy. And the only thing to kick start their plan was Mia who, much to the blonde's dismay, hadn't shown up yet.
She sighed once again, "Alright. Pass me the salt, would you?"
"Yeah," He replied, grabbing the salt that was over by Dominique Weasley, "Here."
Grabbing the salt shaker, she paused, feeling the gazes that continued to poke at her and Malfoy. Looking up, She saw that everyone in her family, as well as their friends, were looking at the two of them, jaws dropped.
Feeling irritated and rather fed up, "What?" She snapped, "Can't a girl eat her breakfast? I'm sure it's not the first time you lot 'ave seen me eat."
Lily was the first one speak up, "What the bloody hell is going on here?"
"What?" Scorpius replied, his mouth full.
"Oh, ew." said Rose, who had scrunched up her face, "That's disgusting. Swallow and then chew, will you, Scorp?" Rose instructed, tossing a napkin to his face. But past her facade, she couldn't help but cringe. Scorp?! She thought. What the hell was that?!
"Sorry, babes." He swallowed. Rose shook her head.
"Honestly, I thought you were brought up be-"
"Babes?" Lily exclaimed at same Rose replied.
"Hm?" Rose hummed innocently, although knowing.
"You two!" She pointed a finger at both her and Malfoy, "Babes? Scorp?!" Rose couldn't help but feel a bit guilty.
"Am I dreaming?" Louis mused. Everyone nodded in agreement.
"And what's seems to be the problem?" Scorpius dryly replied.
