Title: Obstructed Heart
Genre: Chicklit

Cover: You never properly described Anika, so I'm just going to have to guess that's her. The cover doesn't really represent the book, it doesn't lure in the readers. It needs to stand out, seem different from all of the other love stories. 5/10

(You should also add in a scene of Anika getting dressed, like curling her hair, doing her makeup etc. That way, readers get a better picture of what she looks like)

Title: The title is fine, it goes well with the book. No need to change it. 10/10

Summary (Description/Blurb): The summary is very simple and does not draw in the readers. There is nothing special about Anika, other than her raising her sister on her own. Based off of the blurb, I would not read this book because it seems very cliché. There are many, so many books out there with a girl falling in love with a man. What makes this book different from all of the others? You should add more to the description, maybe something about the man she falling in love with or add more detail about her past. 6\10

Chapter 1: Okay, this chapter was rushed, there was so much going on. First, you introduced her little sister who is in college, which was good start. Then, you added a flashback of how Ketu and Anika first met. It seemed so unrealistic. It reminds me of love at first sight, which I don't believe in. So, he saved her from those people who were destroying the restaurant and ever since then they've been in love. Cliché. After that, you skip to him proposing to her and you added a little drama in there with Jessy. Its very unrealistic, too good to be true. There needs to be more drama, or something bad to balance out the good. You started with the boring stuff, I want more excitement, thrill, and I don't know action. Just something. 5/10

Chapter 2: There was a little bit of humor here and there, but just enough to make me laugh, and I loved it. Again, nothing out of the ordinary happened. You introduced more characters and there was a little bit of character development. This chapter could be a lot better if something good actually happened. I did like the cliffhanger, when she missed her meet up with her boyfriend. 6/10

Chapter 3: Literally all that happened was Anika talking to Ketu over the phone, a small prank, and a conversation between her and Gul. I see what you're trying to do here, character development and an insight on why Anika doesn't want to quickly say yes to his proposal. There was so much dialogue, and that's good but nothing is happening. 5/10

Chapter 4: Us readers got to see a little more of Ketu, great. It was very basic, lots of dialogue but nothing happening. 6/10

Chapter 5: This chapter was a lot funnier than the rest. Ketu finding out Bakul was gay in the bar was hilarious. Again, less dialogue and more stuff actually happening. 7/10

Grammer/Spelling: A few mistakes here and there, the grammer and spelling is fine. 9/10

Characters: Every character has a different personality, from funny to flirtatious. They all have something special about themselves and that's very important to the story. I don't have a favorite character, but Gul is really funny. 8/10

Plot: From what I've read so far, this book is just a typical love story of a man and a woman who are in love. Only problem is that the woman doesn't want to get married so soon. I don't see anything going for it, it's so cheesy. The flirts, the pranks, etc. It needs more thrill and excitement, something to pull the book together. Anika's life seems perfect, she has friends, a sister who is in college and a man who wants to marry her. See what I mean? The storyline is so basic and plain. No one's life is perfect, there is always a twist, and your book doesn't have that. 5/10

Total: 72/110

This book needs some improvement, I would recommend to someone who loves cheesy romance books.
