It has been a year since the day Beacon Academy fell and Team RWBY and Y/n's Team split up and things were getting hard for Ruby as her depression was getting worse when every night she would of Y/n being killed off by Cinder, The White Fang, and a strange woman she kept seeing in her dreams and she even heard her own friends talking about the fall of Beacon which made it worse but Shoto tried to help as best as he can because he made a promise to Y/n to watch over Ruby since he was gonna be with All Might
FlashBack
Y/n: "Shoto I need you to promise me something."
Shoto: "Sure what is it?"
Y/n: "I need you to watch over Ruby since I'm leaving to train with All Might."
Shoto: "Y/n I-"
Y/n: "Please Shoto I'm not asking as a leader I'm asking as a friend"
Shoto nodded and they both fist bumped and Y/n leaves the house

Meanwhile Ruby and the others made their way to an abandoned village as they looked around no one was there until a man named Tyrian shows up as he was demanding them to hand over Ruby but Shoto stands infront of Ruby blocking Tyrian's sight on her
Shoto: "Over my dead body."
Shoto said as he summons ice from his foot and it charges at Tyrian but as Tyrian react and dodged his attack Shoto was already next to him thanks to the ice giving him a little speed boost as he used his red side and uses his fire on him

As the flames hit Tyrian it burned his arm and he used his weapons on everyone as they tried to fight back but Tyrian kept dodging and used them against eachother until Tyrian kicks Ruby's gut as she was charging at him and this caused her aura to be destroyed and she layed there on the ground panting as Tyrian was about to kill her until something came at him knocking him away from her and as Ruby looked up she saw it was Y/n that saved her form Tyrian as he lands on the ground and looks at him angry

Y/n: "You sick bastard I won't forgive you for hurting my friends and Ruby."
Once Y/n got up he dashed to Tyrian and grabbed him by his hair and smashed his face to a building wall and kept running running of the wall
