There are a few methods that work with binding safely, but the one of the safest methods is pantyhose binding. All you'll need to make these is a few pairs of pantyhose and some scissors.
The first step to making a panty hose binder is to measure out your torso and cut the legs off of the pantyhose to the desired length (some prefer to go to the belly button or above while others prefer to have it to their full length), than cut out the crouch to make the head hole. The last step is to cut out arm holes. An additional (but not needed step) is to take multiple layers and stitch them together to create an easier way to put them all on at once. (Please make sure if you're going to layer them to only use 1-3 layers, using 4+ layers can physically harm you! Be safe!)
This is probably one of the easiest binders to put on, so all you have to do is slip it over your head, when using multiple layers it's better to put them inside each other, than make sure they are all the same in length as each other.
But what if I want an actual binder? How can I get one without my parents finding out? Which one should I get?
In my opinion, the best binder you can get is gc2b, the site is completely safe, and so are the binders as long as you bind safely. Simply type gc2b into your search bar and the site will come up. If you don't like this, another great option is amazon, and while they don't have gc2b, they have Underworks, another fantastic brand.
Whatever brand you pick, go to their sizing chart and measure your chest. I cannot stress this enough! If it's too small it can permanently damage your chest, and if it's too big, it won't bind right, so measure your chests guys!
The best method I've found for getting a binder without your family noticing is to wait until some form of holiday and ask for a visa gift card, once you can acquire such a thing, order the binder along with a few other things to make it less suspicious and run out to get your binder along with the other goodies you bought.
And this is something that you honestly won't even think about until you need the answer, how do I take my binder off? Putting it on is fairly simple, it's a lot like a women's sports bra. Taking it off is like attempting to remove a strait jacket. The best method I've found would be to cross your arms, then reach down and grip the hem of your binder, be sure that you are gripping under your arms, and pull up, you should manage to wiggle out.
Remember, while you can bind while swimming, never put a binder on while it's wet, don't wear a binder that's too small for you, don't sleep in your binder, **do not wear your binder for more than eight hours**, don't exercise in your binder, don't pull your binder over your hips (this can wear it out), stay safe.
Do not bind using ace bandages or tape, this can cause permanent damages and can ruin your chances for top surgery. Same thing with more than two sports bras or any sort of unsafe binding. If you are binding unsafely, please stop and give one of these methods a shot. I can't promise it will work, but think about how this could affect your future? If you continue to do such, there's even a chance you won't be able to wear a binder, you're hurting yourself, please be safe.
