"Great," CJ dried his back off when he handed her the towel. "Just like every other night you guys play."
"We were thinking about trying to get in touch with some producers to watch us." Josh mentioned.
"Are you kidding?" CJ exclaimed. "That's a great idea!"
"You think they'd be interested?"
"Of course," CJ assured him. "You guys have a good message, a great stage presence, and a hot drummer that nobody can resist."
"Not even you?" Josh leaned in close.
"Not even me." CJ closed the gap between them.
"I can't believe it's been six months." Josh stated. They were at the pizzeria, which was quickly becoming their spot. Even though they were always given a booth, they always chose to sit on the same side. CJ always sat on the inside, Josh always on the outside.
"I know," CJ replied. "It's crazy. Remember when you would always come over-"
"All that tension," Josh cringed at the thought. "Who even let us carry on for that long?"
"My anxiety." CJ told him.
"Well, here we are now," Josh told her, grabbing her hand that rested on the table. "Six months and hopelessly in love with each other."
CJ was going to reply, but there was something that caught her eye. There were two young girls, CJ thought they looked like teenagers, sitting in the booth across from them. They were both constantly glancing at the couple and trying to snap pictures of them. When the girls noticed that CJ had caught them, they made their way over to the couple.
"Look," CJ elbowed Josh lightly. "Those girls over there."
"They're coming over." Josh sat up straight and tried to keep his composure.
"H-Hi." One girl said with a giggle. "We're big fans. We just came from the show tonight. Would you mind taking a picture with us?"
"Not at all." Josh smiled, then glanced down at CJ.
"Say cheese." Josh said awkwardly as he leaned into the picture for the two shy girls.
"Can we get one with CJ too?" They asked.
CJ quickly shook her head no, not breaking eye contact with Josh. She was wondering how the girls even knew her name.
"She's not one for pictures." Josh told them.
"That's fine." The pair smiled and walked away, whispering and giggling to each other.
"Babe, you have fans." CJ gushed as she leaned closer to him, whispering as if it was a secret.
"I know," Josh blushed. "They know me. They know who I am."
"Yeah," CJ nodded. "You made an impact."
CJ and Josh stumbled into their apartment, giggly and giddy from their night out.
"I wanna give you your present." Josh told her as he pulled two small boxes from the closet.
"You didn't have to get me anything." CJ told him.
"I was gonna save this for our one year anniversary," Josh told her. "But I was just so excited that I couldn't wait."
"What is it?" CJ asked as Josh handed her one of the boxes.
"Open it," Josh rushed her. "Hurry up."
"Don't rush me." CJ giggled as she pulled the ribbon and took the lid off. "It's a moon."
"Look," Josh flipped the charm over, revealing his birthday. "It's the moon phase from the day I was born."
