|° I can't say anything to your face °|
~Glances~
They all looked like ordinary people to me. Maybe I underestimated them, after all I had only been here for what, two weeks probably. But I usually tend to make assumptions about everyone and everything. My mom used to say it was one of my cons. Based on what I'd heard they were capable of anything, but I didn't like dwelling on rumours and neither did I want to find out for myself because that would mean talking to them which I wasn't really up for.
I stared at them from my askew seating position, they were a lot of good looking people I'd seen since the time I'd moved here three or so weeks ago but none of them could reach such standards. They, to some unmeasurable extent, seemed perfect. Even their laughs seemed unnatural I mean it looked like they were having a photoshoot right in the middle of the cafeteria. I felt like Bella after noticing the Cullens : very ugly. In my few days of learning here, I'd gathered information and most of it was bordering on the fact that they were the richest, most good looking members of the school. As at now, they were a total of seven all hollered up around one prestigious looking table. I mean this school was quite fancy, the huge and well maintained lawns, the floor to ceiling windows that lined the hallways, the cafeteria that had cushioned booths and bean bags littering the area. A lounge area complete with a cinema screen. It was a boarding school, but the students were allowed to go out on weekends provided they arrive before the Monday lessons began. Kingston Advanced School wasn't any ordinary boarding school and I even had no fucking idea how I ended up here. I guess we could say it was luck, or tragedy. I wondered why Selma insisted on my coming here when clearly I was used to the normal set up back home, I could have figured everything out on my own. She said that the school would exploit all my abilities - whatever that meant - and I got a confirmation from my cousin Lily because she had been here six months ago and apparently transferred to another classy school - one that could exploit her dancing abilities, she claimed. If there was one thing I couldn't forget it was the cryptic message lily had sent me through a letter to the school and not a text message, telling me not get too consumed. I didn't understand what she meant but I guessed she was pointing out the fact that I would be getting into a new environment so I shouldn't forget that she exists. You see, I once was a normal girl ( I still am) by normal in this case I mean I used to attend a public school, go out with friends , do homework on paper, attend parties and I even have a boyfriend. But that all changed in a blink because of one stupid mistake and it became too much afterwards. I even thought I would one day drag my frail body to the gates of an asylum, because I thought I was going crazy. The dreams, the judgments from people who didn't even know me were becoming too much. After my parents' tragic death everything seemed to spiral downhill. Selma hated it, she hated how I acted, she hated the pity I was giving myself and so she made me her responsibility. She brought me back with her to Billingham. The fancy and classy town that she had grown up in. Selma was a well known business lady and saying she was rich became at utter understatement the moment I'd reached her grand home that day. She was my mother's step sister. I didn't know her very well , actually I didn't know her at all because she introduced herself during the funeral. The woman was filthy rich! She even seemed happier after the death of her husband who was also a famous and apparently a huge business mogul. I'd heard of him - the butler Dexter had been a very close acquittance during my stay at her house and he'd dished me quite a lot about her. Let's just say he had the mouth of a woman. Aspiring Businessmen wanted to be like him - Selma's hubby - and other businessmen wanted to be him. But then he just died, like that. Like kick the bucket kapooom! Dead. I think it's rich people stuff they always seem to die tragically. Neither Lilly nor Selma liked talking about it so I didn't ask about it either.
