Love lies. Simple as that! Sure, it makes you feel good in the beginning. But sooner or later, you realize your heart is playing tricks on you. It's got you thinking you need this person always, but that's a lie! Because eventually, that person will decide they don't want you anymore.
Maybe I'm just a bit pessimistic, considering how love did me. All that fighting I did for us! For him! It all just feels like a waste now. A slap in the face for sure. But if losing him wasn't bad enough, the people I called friends abandoned me! I think Lissa hurt the worst though. We'd known each other our whole lives! But it was easy, too easy for her to blame me.
"Just give him some time Rose!"
Maybe she was right to blame me. I had pushed too hard for my own good. That's why I left. My friends, family, and Dimitri were better off without me! I was only making things worse for them and I couldn't live with that. So leaving felt like a good choice.
One thing's for sure though, I can't go back...ever.
