day 9 - momentum

As I had realised the day before, I was gaining momentum. The next day I was already on 244 reads, but no new votes had come in. This didn't particularly worry me as I knew that votes were often harder to get as a new writer, and that they would come in good time. What's important to note about the situation with followers at this point is I had stopped pining after them so much. I was beginning to care a lot more about quality.

It's easy to get 100 followers, I'm sure if you follow 1,000 accounts you're bound to get them. But getting followers who will read and support your works can be a lot harder. So I was beginning to focus less on followers and more on reads, trying my best to boost my chapters.

What I had learnt was the most prominent part of getting reads so far was all about posting chapters. The more chapters I had, the more reads I had. Simple.

Statistics at the end of day nine:

274 reads

Lesson learnt: Just keep writing.
