(Rewrite) Icarus and Riley season 1

S1:E1 Pilot

The sun is rising in Texas, Guadalupe mountains, a wide crater is seen containing a ufo that is in the typical saucer shape most ufos are. The side of the ufo springs open revealing a small, gray 5ft 6 alien, with a somewhat large head and big dark eyes that would slightly tint depending on emotion as a way of visual expression. The alien stands tall for a second or two and with his space spanner in one hand and his backpack on the shoulder of the other, then he falls into the side of crater dazed and confused.

The alien slowly pulls himself out of the wreckage and sits on the side of the crater, sighs and reaches for ragged map out of his backpack, he slowly stands up and looks around whilst almost stumbling. The map is of the Guadalupe mountains, which has a cross marked clearly on it, the alien realises his watch is glitching and he fixes it using the space spanner then uses a hologram on his watch to find the hatch door that he was looking for.

He removes a layer of sand from the hatch and reads F.E.T.A. , he moves his bag straps onto both shoulders and unlocks the hatch using his space spanner and pulls open the hatch using both his arms with great effort.

When the hatch is fully open he slowly steps down the ladders and closes the hatch behind himself, at the bottom of he ladders is pitch black, he walks against the wall and turns on a small torch inside his watch, counting the doors as he walks along he stops after a short while at room that looks like a cell but is domestic enough to seem homely.

The room is about 8ft by 8ft wide and has a small bed in the furthest corner from the door, a small carpet is laid out in the centre and a set of Chester draws dwells in the corner with a vase filled with dead flowers on top, all of this is familiar to the alien except in the centre of the room on top of the carpet is a projector facing the plain white wall.

The alien grabs a chair from the room next door and places it down beside the projector, on the projector there's a note that reads "play me Icarus".

Icarus: Blackwood?

Icarus presses play and sits in the chair, the video starts up slowly and after a couple of seconds a distressed 50 year old man walks into the cameras frame, the man is shaking heavily, he takes a seat, itches his gray beard, wipes his brow and adjusts his glasses.

Blackwood: ok... so this is professor Blackwoods log day... err (takes off his glasses, rubs his eyes and puts his glasses back on) something, date 6th November 2021; I'm head scientist of the F.E.T.A. lab and all attempts to hold back the infected have be ineffective... patient zero escaped over a month ago and all infected hosts have showed no signs of improvement, despite numerous tests *alarm*

Blackwood gets up from his chair and sprints out of the room and knocks over the camera. The camera cuts as Icarus sighs and the next log starts up.

Blackwood: (sweating) last night there was a breach in security and all infected hosts escaped through the breach and infected several scientists, engineers, and mechanics, (sighs) fuck the date is 7th November 2021 and we have orders from the capital to be evacuated to Washington and to stop this infection before it goes past critical... Icarus if you are listening to this video, I've left you a fire axe and a map to Washington, I gotta go.

The camera cuts off abruptly, Icarus' eyes tint red in anger and he throws the camera then leaves the room in rage, Icarus walks into Blackwoods lab takes the fire axe and packs the map into his bag and puts on a lab coat that touches the floor and leaves the lab through the same hatch that he entered through.

Icarus grabs his space spanner out of his lab coat pocket and walks towards his ufo places his hand on the side where it scans his three fingers but breaks mid scan so he unlock it with his space spanner and gets to work with fixing his ufo.
