The day was bright, and warm with the sun beating down on a black and green ship. The navigator steered the ship towards the island they were sent to retrieve a "special" object. "Ahoy mateys! Land ho!" yelled a voice from the crow's nest as he rung the bell. "captain we have reached land, should we drop anchor" asked a man standing exactly five inches taller then the captain. "bring us broad side first then drop anchor" said the captain as the taller man went to go an relay the message. "Navigator Jack! Captain's orders are to bring us broad side so we can drop anchor" said the tall man. "Aye aye Peg-pecker bringing us broad side" said Jack as he turned the ship. Twolegs climbed down from the crow's nest, and Pegpecker went to lower the anchor "aye captain this be where the treasure lie?" asked Twolegs.
"Yes twolegs this be where the treasure lie,"
Jack the navigator approached the two. "Twolegs, Jack scout the island for anything unusual," said Short beard while Pegpecker went to check the map to make sure they were at the right place.
"Captain this be the spot" said Pegpecker
"Aye aye first mate take the map, and go look for the x that be marking the booty,"
"yes Captain I'll get right to it, and regroup with Twolegs and the Navigator," Just as he made his way to the ladder, and climbed down only to find that Twolegs and Jack hadn't moved at all. "what are ye scalawags doing still here you were suppose to scout the island 30 minutes ago," yelled Pegpecker.
"Ahoy firstmate it appears we have ran into a bit of trouble," said Jack
"Well what is it?," asked the firstmate
"it just occurred to us that neither of us have much knowledge of the land," said Two-legs. Pegpecker merely face palmed then sighed angrily taking a deep breathe as to not hit either of the two. "the whole purpose of you two scouting was that you would survey the land, and return here, and now you just made sending you two out useless," said Pegpecker sounding rather irritated. Twolegs looked back at Navigator Jack and the two let out a hearty laugh falling over with how angry they made Pegpecker. "relax Pegpecker we're kidding we surveyed the land its a very small island if we're being honest," said Twolegs.
"your lucky I have a peg leg as my left leg or else I would have kicked you in the face already without falling over," said Pegpecker as Navigator Jack and Twolegs got up from where they laid, and began walking following the map to the location of the bounty. "Pegpecker do you think something will happen if we take this treasure? After all that job seemed rather sketchy," said Twolegs
"I'm not sure Twolegs, but we'll find out when we get there,"
"I suppose that is an acceptable answer firstmate," said Navigator Jack. The three were stopped at a camp filled with wandering skeletons "uh..I thought this island was suppose to be abandon," said Jack
"I thought so as well but clearly its not,"
"Aye aye firstmate what should we do now?,"
"Why we wait for the captain,"
Jack and Twolegs nodded then looked at the camp ahead of them as Pegpecker examined the map once more to see if there was a possible way around. "well men I have good news, and I have bad news which does ye want first?," asked Pegpecker
"I would say the bad news,"
"Well those scalawags are exactly where the loot be,"
"And the good news,"
"we could possible sneak our way towards that cannon and blow the men down," said Pegpecker as the three of them made their way towards the tower. A single skeleton walked patrolling the outside luckily off to the side were some bushes that the trio could hide behind. "damn that captain of ours making me patrol the perimeter of this camp alone," said the skeleton. It soon passed as the trio came out of the bushes once again, and continued to make their way towards the canon.
