A few months ago, the sky became dark and I was swept far, far away from the seas that I am familiar with.
In this new and unknown sea, I've seen other seahorses but none of them like me.
Nobody wants to be my friend here. All the seahorses I've seen are smaller than me and afraid of me. All the fishes I've seen have their own schools and will not let me join them.
It is also difficult for me to escape from the predators as I do not know where the best hiding places are.
But in this place, I have met my true love. She is as big as me and she is pink, she does not reject me, she does not argue with me. She listens to all my grumblings and swims with me everywhere.
Sometimes when the predator comes, she has trouble swimming away but I have always managed to bring her along with me and escape together from the scary predators.
Helping her escape is no trouble at all, and I have plans to propose to her.
When we are having our dinner dates together, it does not look like she's eating but I'm sure that's just my imagination. She has a tiny mouth so that must be why I do not notice her eating.
Soon, the day that I plan to propose comes. I bring her to the most romantic location I have found in this seabed. When the sun is setting, the rays shine down and illuminate everything in a bright golden colour.
She shines beautifully in the rays of the sun, and I start the mating dance that I have practised faithfully over the past weeks.
I dance back and forth in front of her, and she sways along with the moves I make. I am sure she likes my dance moves or she would just stay still and watch.
Slowly but surely, our snout touches and we form a heart shape!
She is the most beautiful seahorse I have ever laid my eyes upon!
She is the love of my life!
We have lived through life and death situations together!
We have escaped from dangerous predators numerous times!
And now, we will be a family.
The love of my life is a lovely pink toy seahorse.
