Chapter 23- Alone

Connor

This is boring.

I have realized it is boring living by yourself. Without the guys. They make everything better.

And Beth.

Oh I love her. She always seems to find a way to light me up.

And god do I miss her.

I could really use some cheering up right now.

It's back. The depression is back. I always was depressed when I was in middle school and high school. I mean it wasn't full on, I didn't want to kill myself. But I felt as if I had no friends and no one to talk to. I tried to isolate myself from everyone. I was in my own world.

And I feel the same. I feel alone.

***

I have been up all night. Staring at the ceiling. Thinking.

It's 3:45 am.

If I couldn't fall asleep at the o2l house, one of the guys would most likely be awake and I would have someone to talk to. So I wasnt bored.

But now, I have no one to go to.

None of my friends.

My ex girlfriend.

Even my fans. I don't want them knowing about this. They still think I'm with Beth.

I don't want to go to my family, because they'll just put me back in therapy. I always hated therapy.

Bethany

I arrive to Madison's house. It was pretty far. Almost an hour away. All the lights are turned on. I've never been here before. She sent me the address when I was leaving. Well it's actually not a house. More like an apartment. I'm in a gated community.

I knock on the door. No one answers so I knock again, harder. Still no answer. My fist bangs against the chestnut wood. Finally, I hear a click. The door unlocks and it's isn't madison who answers the door. It's a male I've never seen before. He looks to be about 20 or 21. And I won't lie, he is pretty good looking.

"Who are you and what do you want?" He asks.

"I was looking for a girl, her name is Madison. She has long curly brown hair. Kinda slutty but she's pretty I guess.

He pulls his phone out his pocket and unlocks it. He shows me a photo of him and her.

"Is this her?"

"Yup." I say.

"She doesn't live here. She is my ex girlfriend."

"Oh. Well she sent me this address saying it was her apartment."

He laughs. "Defiantly a prank."

"Oh." I furrow my brows.

That bitch.

"Sorry about that. I'll leave now. Nice meeting you." I say.

Right when I'm about to turn he stops me.

"Wait. You should stay. It's about to rain." He says.

"I can handle rain." I say.

"You should still stay."

"I don't know you."

"Well then get to know me." He says. "My name is Hunter." He smiles.

"I'm Bethany."

"Wait I know who you are. You are that beauty guru from YouTube. My sister loves you."

"Aw. What's her name?"

"Kate."

"Well tell her I said hi."

"I will. Do you wanna come in now?" He asks.

"I don't want to." I say. It's true. I can't go in there. I'm still in love with Connor and I want him back. He'll never want me back if I start anything new.

"Oh." He says.

I grab a pen from my purse and write my number on his hand. I don't want to be mean.

"I'll use this." He smiles.

I smile back then walk away. I hear the door close behind me. Then I remember why I came here. Madison.

FUCK.

I dial her phone number in my phone and call her. She answers on the second ring.

"Helloo?" She says.

"You bitch! I can't believe you madison. I am never trusting you again."

I hear laughs and I hang up.

I begin to drive home when I realize it's pretty late. And my eyes are drifting off. I can't drive back. I drive for twenty minutes to the nearest hotel. I cannot stay in a motel.

I park my car and walk inside. I hope there is a room available at this time.

I ask the woman and I pay. Luckily, there was a room available. I take my key and go in the elevator. Even though I am only on the second floor, I do not feel like waking up a flight if stairs. There was enough in front of the hotel.

I find my room. I open the door. In isn't big but it isn't small. It's enough. There is a tv and a queen sized bed. Bathroom with a decent toilet and shower. I don't plan on showering. I put my bag down and strip down to my under wear. I grab the complementary robe and slide my arms into it then tie the belt. I jump into the bed and go under the covers.

It never rained.

I laugh.

Then I fall asleep

***

I wake up on my own to the sound of the birds and the sunshine through the window.

I tie my hair back since I don't have a brush and take the robe off then put my clothes back on. I am a mess. I do my business and wash my mouth out with water so it doesn't smell very bad.

I grab my purse and all my belongings. I exit the room.

I walk to elevator. When I walk into it, it's not empty.

Connor stands there looking down on his phone, unaware of my presence.
