How It All Starts

Man...What a killer day. I wish I hadn't even gone in today and just stayed home. I thought as I was making my way home from school. My bag was slung over my shoulders, I always wore a hoodie, despite the constant heat, and jeans along with a black shirt and shoes, and I always had an expressionless face. Yeah, that's me. My name is Cain and I'm just a lowly nerd that goes to school and plays video games for a living. At this point, you would think I would be trying to get a girlfriend or hang out with friends. Truthfully, I don't need a girlfriend and I already hang out with my friends, just not in the way you think. The moment I get home I'm greeted by my aunt trying to check up on my well being, always trying to see if something is wrong with me. I've kinda grown used to it. Why not my father or mother? Well, they aren't really in my life the way you'd think. One left while I was young while the other didn't really come into my life. I wonder what they are both doing right now. I was pulled away from my thoughts as my aunt finally spoke up.

"Nobody caused you trouble today right?"

Yep, That's my aunt Sabrina. She's my guardian and pretty much the "Over Protective" mother type.
Cain: "Yeah, I'm fine. No problems this time."

Sabrina: "Alright, go ahead and do your homework. I'll have dinner ready in a bit"

I didn't give much of a response. Mainly just a wave as I headed up the stairs to my room. Though there isn't much in the house and it is very very quiet, I don't seem to like the peacefulness of it all so I need some sort of constant noise to help me focus. I'd just play some music on my phone and do my homework, which was pretty damn easy since math was my best subject. After a few minutes of finishing up my work, I toss aside the paper and turn on my PC. I boot up Discord and get into my group chat where my friends are just waiting for me to log in.

"Ayye, there's the cuck."

That's Drax, he's kinda like the jolly green giant had a son that acted like a douche from time to time.

Drax: "You just gonna listen this time or you gonna communicate for once."

Cain: "Yeah yeah, I get it. Don't think I haven't learned from my mistakes."

"Cain, are you gonna LISTEN TO US?"

The one that just tried to blow my ears out is Jake. He's just annoying and a douche, but he can be very nice when he needs to be.

"Okay....seriously guys lets......just do this.....Cain, hurry up and....load into the game!"

The guy that pauses as he speaks is Ezra, he's pretty much my best friend, but sometimes he needs to know when to stop talking.

Jake: "Ezra, just give him some FUCKING TIME!"

Cain: "Jake calm down, Imma hop on now."

"You boys know you can't start without me."

And that's Nick, the only person that has common sense but always sounds like he has a God complex.

Ezra: "Alright...Nick just hop in and....we'll begin."

Jake: "Ezra, fix your damn voice."

Ezra: "If I...could I would now....shut up and let's go!"

Why can't we all just get along?...

I'd minimize Discord and head on over to this game we have recently started playing. It was labeled C.O.D.E and we weren't all that sure what it was at first until Ezra tested it out and kinda dragged us into it. Eventually, we all started to like it and began to play it every day after school. Our team has been in the Top 5 for weeks now and have been slowly making our way up in ranking to face off against the top team. There are 15 character classes to pick when you start the game and can only ever be changed out twice during your time in the game. The character classes are as listed:
