Leilani's POV
(1 week later)

I woke up to feel a pain in the bottom of my stomach.

I looked down and saw that Kobe's hand was gently resting on my stomach.

I carefully moved his hand to the middle of us.

I looked over at him and saw that he was peacefully sleeping.

Sighing as I looked at the wheelchair in the corner of the room, I realized that this wasn't a dream.

I really can't walk.

I had therapy this morning at 11.
Looking at the clock, it read 9:13am.

"Lani are you awake?" I heard Alex ask, I looked to see him at my room door and nodded.

"Can you help me?" I ask him. He nodded and walked into the room fully.

He pushed the wheelchair to the side of the bed and helped me slide into it.

"Thank you." I say lowly. He messed with my hair and smiled.

"Alexander" I warned him. He moved his hand and continued to smile. I laughed lightly and shook my head at him.

He pushed me to the door and opened it.

Now that I can't walk, I can't sleep in my room anymore, I have to sleep in the guest room that's downstairs.

Alex pushed me to the empty spot at the table beside Xavier.

"Good morning honey." My mom kissed my forehead before she went back to cooking.

"Morning." I sighed as I placed my head in the palm of my hand.

"No elbows on the table." Jaden told me.
I rolled my eyes playfully and moved my arms.

"Where's Kobe?" Xavier asked me.

"He's still sleep."
I tell him. He frowned.

"But.....he's not gonna sleep your whole birthday." I told him. He smiled.

"Happy birthday muffin" I told him. He smiled wider and hugged my neck.

"Thank you!" He squealed happily.
I couldn't help but laugh at how happy he is.

"I'll go wake him up okay?" I tell Xavier, he nods.

"You need help?" Alex asks me.
I shake my head no as I wheel myself back to the guest room.

"Kobe." I whisper as I shake him. He moved a little and his hands stretched out. He started feeling around the bed and I sat back and smirked.

He frowned once he didn't find me and opened his eyes.

He looked around and his eyes met mine.

"Hey." He said lowly.

"Hey" I giggled.
