YOUNGJAE'S POV.

i stood above the male, nervously,"are you okay?" i blurted out without thinking. i watched him look at me in surprise as he eagerly wiped the tears from his face. he was hyperventilating from crying so much and he started to look as if he was having a hard time breathing. i walked closer to him and crouched beside him on the ground,"calm down, breathe in and out and close your eyes." i told him as i hesitantly took his hand was was trembling, squeezing it.
he seemed to have relaxed and calmed down some after a minute or two.
"are you okay now?" i asked, worried. he looked away from me and moved his hand,"i guess so."
i furrowed my eyebrows at him, curious,"why are you sad?"
silence.
i don't understand on how he went from screaming in anger to crying? i hang around mark who is pretty emotional but he's never been mad then all the sudden start crying. it's probably a normal thing and i'm just stupid- oh god okay i think i might've asked a question that overstepped his boundaries.
"sorry if it was too personal! i saw you yell at jinyoung and i-" i spoke before he cut me off,"it's none of your business. it's a personal matter. why did you even come after me anyway?"
i scatched the back of my head, trying not to make it sound weird,"well, i got a feeling something was off.." i trailed off before intentionally trying to change the subject and mood,"uh, oh yeah! my name's youngjae by the way! what's yours?" i asked even though i knew it already.
"jaebum, why-" he began to speak before i interrupted him,"okay! can we be friends?"
jeez, i hope he doesn't think i'm weird.
he looked away awkwardly,"um, i guess we can be friends." i stood back up from crouching down,"do you want to hang out after school tomorrow with me and my friends?"

jaebum sighed,"only if it's okay with them."

i should probably get his number if we're friends now,"can i see your phone?" he looked confused before slowly handing me his phone out from his pocket. i type my phone number in and set my contact before sending myself a message from his phone so ill have his number as well, giving it back to him afterwards,"i'll see you tomorrow, jaebum!" i ran off a few minutes before the bell started to ring.

he's interesting but he doesn't seem like a bad guy.
can't wait for tomorrow!
