Steve twisted Percy's wedding ring around in his hands as he thought of that day.
It seemed like, today, he kissed Percy more than ever. He knew what it was. Soon, their wedding anniversary would come up.
He picked up the small, neatly wrapped box, holding it gently. Percy would never get to see what was inside, and, somehow, that thought pained him. It was unfair, how he had just been ripped away from the world.
Percy Kim had deserved far better. Yes, Percy Kim had deserved the world. And Steve would have given it to him, too. He would have if he could.
"I hope you're resting well, darling", he mumbled into the quiet darkness.
