We dated for 2 years, but you had to move away to study for college and you broke things off. That's nice and all, and I would've made a plan to get you back, but you had to run off and fall in love with her. I talk to you sometimes but it isn't the same knowing you love her more than you probably loved me. You assured me we'd be the one couple who made it, but we weren't. You and her have been together for almost a year and that whole time I've been single. Waiting for the day you open your eyes. I like her I think she's great for you.
But you know what I really miss?
Us. Two letters, one syllable. A marvelous word. Everyone tells me to let go. But it's seriously hard. Because I miss us Don't you? I suppose not. You have her. And I still love you.
