You're broken
I can see it
In the poems that you write
I can tell that you've been hurt
a million times
I see it
Your smile
It doesn't reach your eyes
because you've fallen
so, so many times
And you wonder
If you'll be able to get back up this time
I see the girl behind the smile
So broken
but she puts on a mask
and makes us believe
that she isn't broken underneath
