Last Hope

Prologue

~Unknown Angel~

Distant bombs went off in the city as the city was on fire as well. Screams where heard throughout the land as those innocents died in the bombings. Running as fast as I can with my maid looking around the castle before I looked back at the city were my people were. Tears filled my eyes as my hair blew in the wind as I could hear their cries.

"Milady! We need to go." My maid tells me as she tries to pull me away from the scene as I wanted to stay.

My wings twitched as they wanted to spread and fly towards those being murdered. Feeling a tear go down my face as I looked back at my maid and nod. I needed to be alive for reasons that my mother told me about. Hopefully she made it out as well and is meeting us are our secret place. A bomb went off close to us as I gasped as my maid scream a little but pulled me along anyway.

We were reaching towards out destination as I could see the flower garden in view as well. My hair flowing behind me as I picked up my dress to run faster. Kicking off my shoes as while back as I was running barefoot almost this whole time we were running away from the threat.

Looking ahead as I saw my mother in the clearing as I smiled running towards her letting go of my maids hand. Running towards her with open arms. "Mother!"

Turning her head as my mother smiled and gladly accepted my hug as she hugs me in return. "My darling angel. We need to get you out of here as fast as possible."

Blinking as I looked up towards my mother as I didn't fully understand. "But mother, the people. The innocent people are dying I need to go help them I know I can heal the badly wounded."

My mother places a hand on my cheek and nods. "I know my angel, but there is something more important I need you to do."

I didn't understand, my mother wanted me to do something more direr then saving my people?

"What is it mother? Anything I can do to help you and my people." I bent down as she was now sitting down, I sat down at her feet looking up at her.

"There is someone down on a place called Earth that has powers that can save us all. I need to go find them."

Shaking my head as I then leaned up and hugged my mother.

"No, I can't go! Not without you. I can't leave you behind."

Stroking my hair as my mother coo's me softly as she then pulls my head back and looks at me.

"I know, but you are only hope that can stop the demon that wants to take our kingdom. I need you to go. This is a very important mission. I know you can do this."

My mother had total faith in me, I could tell by the way she was looking at me in the eyes. Before I know it head a bomb going off very close to us.

"Come we need to get you out of here right now!"

Getting up my mother took my hand and started running with me, my maid not far behind as I looked back seeing the bombing go off. Turning my head back as I stopped there was a ledge at the end of one of our kingdom lands. Turning around as I looked at my mother, I looked at her with tears in my eyes. I didn't want to leave her or my family. I wanted to stay and help. Placing a hand on my cheek as she wiped the tear from my eyes.

"Go my dearest. I know you can do this. There is only one way to Earth. And that is to fall, if you do it right it will be smooth sailing if not then you will crash. None the less you will get there."

Turning her head as my mother nods towards my maid as my maid spread her grey-ish wings walking towards us. She looks back at me and smiles her wings where like mine almost pure white, but they had a hint of grey to them. While mine where just white, pure white which was rare in our kingdom.

"Go, you must go now. Before it's too late."

I nodded pulling out my wings giving my mother one as hug. Turning around as I then jumped off the legs and spread out my wings as I took flight. My maid not too far behind me. Before I knew it there was an arrow being shot not too far from my face. Turning my head as I could see unknown a figure's flying at me and my maid shooting at us. Panic went to my heart as I saw my maid get shot with an arrow and started to fall.

"NO!" I screamed as I looked at the figure's flying towards me as I turned and tried to fly as fast as I could.

I could hear them yelling at one another to not let me get away but before I knew it an arrow grazed my side as I felt blood coming out. I groaned lightly at the pain but I keep flying as fast as I could. Before I knew it, another arrow hit my shoulder knocking me breath out in me as a breathed stopping in midair. Looking back as I blasted a spell towards them not knowing I missed one of them.

Turning around as I stopped flapping my wings to stay afloat as the figure cast a spell on me and the next then I knew I was falling from the sky. I couldn't get my wings to work, they wouldn't keep me to stop flying. I could tell I was hearing for Earth and there's where I need to be. Before I hit the forests floor my vision almost went black. My body hit the could hard as my head hit a rock my cloths shredded from the arrows that where shooting at me. Before I could fully go under, I could hear a voice but I wouldn't make it out. My vision going fully black, will I be able to keep my mother's hope? As the last then I thought before the darkness took me.
