"One nothing, Sonic!" Tails declared.

"What in the world?" You whispered. "Where's the physics in that?"

"Oh, come on! You saw the wind blew that, right?" Knuckles roared before taking another swing. This time, the ball hit some birds. "What?!"

"You gotta factor in bird migration! That's Gopherball 101." Sonic said, waving his index finger tauntingly.

Knuckles growled and began to participate in a frenzy of swings. Each ball missed the hole until he eventually gave up and tired out. "That's totally unfair!" He whined.

"Maybe you need to work on your swing?" Tails suggested.

"You kidding me?! It has nothing to with my swing! It has everything to do with luck!" Knuckles shouted, dumbfounded. The echidna took one last swing, and you watched in utter confusion as the ball stopped in midair just before landing right in the hole. Knuckles, in a fit of rage, threw his club, which actually landed in the hole. You covered your ears when Knuckles let out a loud scream of frustration.

You, Sonic, and Tails watched as the echidna ran off. "Is there no physics on this island whatsoever?"

"What're you talking about?" Tails asked.

"You mean to tell me that it's normal for a ball to just stop in midair as if time froze!?" Sonic and Tails shared a look before turning their attention back to you with a shrug.

"He's right. This game is unfair and is definitely luck-based." You scoffed, crossing your arms in a huff.

"What? No way!" Sonic declared. "I beat him fair and square!"

"Not really." You replied. "First off, there's no way that small, delicate little leaf would've had that must force over the ball. And for his club to make it into the hole unintentionally but not the ball? Outrageous."

"Are you nuts?" Sonic asked. "That has nothing to do with luck. It's all skill"

"Luck!"

"Skill!

"Luck! Just like how you're lucky I don't pummel you into the ground." You smirked.

"You'd never catch me. Now that would be lucky." He smirked with triumph, folding his arms confidently.

"Just you watch. I'll get you eventually." You glared, pointing your finger at him.

"Guys, relax!" Tails said. "Luck or not, this doesn't really matter."

You huffed with a pout. "And to think the smart one should've taken my side." Sonic rolled his eyes at your comment.

Here you were, only an hour later, in the canyon. "I can't believe I've never thought of this before!" Knuckles smiled. You watched as he punched a large rock, causing a large rock to fall on him. Whelp, time to do what you were here for. Ready the bandages!

Yup, you were practically babysitting. After Sticks had the bright idea of telling Knuckles about the luck balance of the universe, he tried to do every unlucky thing possible to get his good luck streak back. So here you were now near a crater, watching as the bandaged Knuckles got ready to jump.

"When the luck balance of the universe shifts against you, just get it all over with as quickly as possible to shift it back!" He jumped over the edge and pummeled down into the crater. As he fell, you heard him declare, "It's like one of those things when you hear it, you're like "Duh! It's so obvious!""

You started walking into the forest a ways away. Halfway there, you heard the sound of the cannon. "Must be he made it already." You muttered to yourself. As you kept walking, you eventually heard him fly overhead. He hit a tree a few feet in front of you and fell to the ground. You watched as a beehive landed on his head and the angry bees inside began to sting him. "AH! I CAN ALMOST FEEL MY LUCK CHANGING ALREADY!!!"
