Daniel groaned as he heard his alarm going off, he tensed at it before cuddling into his stuffie, choosing not to get up just yet. He was absolutely exhausted if he was totally honest. The small male listened to the noises of the birds outside his bedroom window and smiled to himself. They always sang such a beautiful tune that would always bring a sense of calm to his life.  The small male sighed before sitting up, realizing that he couldn't stall any longer. He gently pushed the snooze button on his alarm, the loud noise had initially startled him. He hated loud noises. They scared him a hell of a lot but he never could figure out the reason why.

The teen sighed before turning to set down his stuffie on his pillows, rubbing at his eyes as he did so. Daniel swung his legs off of the bed before proceeding to stand up. He wobbled a little as his legs were still somewhat asleep but he managed to keep himself upright. After a few minutes of groggily looking around the room, he began walking, more like stumbling, towards the bathroom connected to his own room. His room was a rather large one if he did say so, the bedroom could probably fit another two people in it along with himself. His parents were both doctors, both paid handsomely which meant the house he lived in was rather large. More like a mansion rather than a house. Although Daniel was the only one to currently and permanently live there. His parents were always away and even when they were home they didn't have much time before they were shipped off again.

Daniel turned on the shower before ridding himself of all his clothes, making sure the water was a little colder than usual. He hoped it woke him up a little more than he currently was otherwise he'd be late. Again. He looked into the full body mirror as he waited for it to change temperature. His looked somewhat horrendous with his ghostly pale skin and dull blue eyes. The teenager shook his head of the thoughts before stepping into the shower. Instantly tensing as the cold water made contact with his body. His muted purple hair instantly sticking to his forehead, covering his blue eyes. He shakily reached for his blueberry scented shampoo, pulling it close to his body before he popped the cap and began lathering his hair.

After he had thoroughly lathered himself he stood under the spray and let the suds slip down his thin frame. Once it had all disappeared down the drain the teen began scrubbing his body with vanilla bean body wash. A few moments later and he was watching the dirt slip free from his skin, a slightly rosy hue rising to the surface. Daniel relaxed for a few moments, leaning his head against the wall and letting the cold water wash down his frame. He'd slowly gotten used to it. The boy contemplated what he'd need for the day as he stepped out of the shower. The teenager grabbed a baby blue towel and wrapped it around himself before drying his hair with another. His eyes catching himself in the mirror once more causing him to grimace before he turned away and thought of something else.

"What to wear today..." He whispered softly as he wandered into his bedroom and in front of his closet.

Daniel opened the closet and looked through his clothes carefully. He would have to make a decent impression in regards to his style for the first year back as he had received his time table. He was in entirely new classes having been shifted to the lower sets. His grades had dropped within the last few years because he had found no reason to keep them up. His parents were never around enough to give him praise, he had no friends to impress. It was just Daniel by himself... The teen sighed and let the towel around his waist pool around his feet before he pulled out a pair of pastel blue boxers covered in small teddy bears. The teen then proceeded to pull out a pair of black ripped skinny jeans, a Linkin Park shirt and a plain black cardigan before tugging them on. He opened the drawer by his t-shirts and grabbed a pair of grey and pastel green socks before tugging them on also.

Daniel sighed as he looked into his full body mirror, he didn't look terrible but he'd have to adjust his style slightly. The teen went over to his jewellery box and carefully lifted the lid, it had supposedly been a family heirloom so he had to keep in in good condition. His blue eyes flitted over the small amount of jewellery he had before they settled on one pair. A pair of solid gauges with a thorned rose design. A smile spread across his cheeks as he picked them up before slipping them in. He shuddered at the feeling of them, it was odd but then again he hadn't worn them in a while so the reaction was warranted.

The small male quickly checked the time, his smile dropping a little as he realized he would genuinely be late if he didn't hurry. He quickly nabbed his Panic at the disco backpack from the corner of his room and slung it over his shoulders. He took one last look at his bedroom, then his stuffie before he gave it a wave. A feeling of dread settling in his chest. He had to try and convince himself it wouldn't be that bad...

"Bye Damie..." He muttered gently, turning and leaving the room.

The male then walked down the large staircase before wandering into the kitchen. His eyes settling on the person who stood by the stove, carefully wiping at the sides to make sure they weren't dirty. She was the maid of the house, Grace. She was practically his mother at this point, she had been his nanny when he was merely a toddler and then his personal maid when he grew older. But he just treated her as if she was a friend, she was always there for him whenever he needed someone or when he just needed to be babied a little bit. He gently rapped his knuckles against the large door frame, alerting the woman to his presence.  She turned to him, her hazel eyes glowing with warmth and kindness.

"Morning Daniel! How did you sleep hunny?" She asked with a small smile on her older features.

"Fine considering I have hell within the next five minutes." He groaned quietly a somewhat cheeky smile spreading across his lips now.

The woman settled her hands on her hips, a knowing grin upon her own lips. She knew the boy had somehow accumulated a serious hatred for academics. Whether that be because he had no one to genuinely encourage him or because it was a form of rebellion, the woman would never truly know what went on inside the teenagers head. She walked over and handed him a small ominous paper bag, to which the teenager looked at her in confusion.

"You should get going, sweetie. Here is your lunch and I've set some mixed berry granola bars in there for breakfast alright. Now shoo! But be careful on the way there...Please."  She stated as she ruffled his hair but she quickly shuffled away as she shooed him off.

Daniel nodded before striding over to her and kissed her forehead. The boy then left the kitchen and walked over to the front door, quickly tugging on his shoes and picking up his skateboard. The teen looked back to the kitchen and saw Grace standing there, he waved at her before exiting the house and setting his skateboard down. He looked to the blue skies and smiled before beginning his journey to the worst place on earth.

High School.
