This is the story of Coraline Adams. More Importantly, how Coraline Adams died. I don't want this to be a sad story. I had a good life until my unseeable demise. So instead, this will be about how I lived. And how everyone around me made my life worth living day after day.
We can't start here though, let's go back to the beginning, where everything took off.
Keep Running.
That's all that could process through my mind at a time like this.
Sure, maybe this wasn't the best of reactions to my situation. Yet my legs kept moving one after another. I couldn't even look behind me to see if they were still following me, I didn't need to, I knew they were.
Everything crumbled in front of me, quite literally as I tripped and fell flat on my ass. I screamed as I felt the monster climbing on top of me. I put my arm against his neck as I desperately tried to keep him away from chomping me into oblivion.
I felt my life flash before my eyes. My old family, my new family who were just ended by these disgusting beasts. Michael my boyfriend, Britney my best friend.
"What the point?" I whispered to the dead thing on top of me, looking up the struggling walker.
I decided it would be better to just let him release me to wherever everyone else is going and just let go.
Once again, I felt nothing. My eyes squeezed tightly shut. "Am I dead?"
"Not yet" A new voice making its entrance. I felt the smelly weight lifted off my chest and thrown beside me. I opened my eyes looking up the tanned male with a bundle of locks placed on his head extending his hand out to me. "A thank you would be appreciated" He grinned, waving his fingers slightly so she would take it.
"Thanks" She mumbled, taking his hand and standing up. She brushed herself off, looking him up and down.
"See something you like?" He teased, wiggling his eyebrows at the girl.
"Give it a rest Louis" A female's voice speaking up from behind her. The silent girl turned around quickly to look at the girl with the short, white hair and colored eyes. "Just ignore him, he can't be serious for the life of him." The girl grumbled and walked to beside the man.
"Oh, c'mon Violet! Don't be such a bummer butt" The male, Louis laughed softly.
"Bummer butt'? What are you, six?" Violent sighed eyeing the brunette girl in front of them.
"Seven actually" Louis rolled his eyes, mocking her. "Anyways, where are my manner? I'm Louis, and this here is Vi-Vi"
The girl watched Louis out-stretch his hand, like he wanted her to shake it.
"Vi-vi? Don't call me that! My name's violet" She glared up the man, trying to clear up his stupid joke.
"Why not? I like it"
"I don't care, don't call me that" She huffed, walking away in the opposite direction.
"Don't worry about her, she's on edge right now" Louis smiled kindly, stuffing his hands in his pockets, nudging her to follow them as the small group continued walking. "Two new people came into our camp and they caused a bunch of walkers to start coming around here when they crashed their car." He shrugged, looking up at the sky.
'They caused all these walkers? The ones that..killed my friends?'
"Where are you guys taking me?" She asked softly, looking between the two.
"A camp where we train kids to fight and kill others" Louis said blankly, turning to look her in the eyes.
The girl grabbed her knife from her waistline stopping in her tracks. "Excuse me?"
"Settle down cow girl, I'm only joking" He chuckled, patting her shoulder. "Those places don't even exist". The girl noticed Violet look back at her, coming towards her again.
"Stop freaking her out, she's gonna hate us" Violent said strictly, flicking Louis's forehead. "Oh, shit. We didn't even ask your name, sorry" She said in an embarrassed tone.
"It's Coraline, Coraline Adams."
