The Only Exception

Chapter Three

Before I knew it, the concert was over. The boys did amazing, as usual. 

"They did so g--" I started, but stopped when I found that my mum wasn't sitting next to me. I lookedaround and finally found her pacing around backstage on a phone call. I just sighed and began to walk to the dressing room so I could change into something more comfortable. I was surprised when she spotted me and stopped me in my tracks. 

"Hey, sweety will you grab my purse it's in the dressing room!" She said and then quickly returned to her phone call.

"Sure mum, I was heading there anyway." I said even though I knew she couldn't hear me. I walked towards the dressing room while I checked my phone for any texts...

I wasn't looking where I was going and I ran into Luke.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry, I really should stop walking and texting at the same time it's really not okay..I mean I practically knocked you ov-" I started

"You're fine, Neens." Luke cut me off.

"Well sorry. Anyways I have to grab my mum's purse, are you going to Nandos?" I asked.

"Yep. You're riding with me." He winked. 

"Okay, sassy. I'll meet you by the back entrance in 5." I said in reply.

"Ohhh, the back entrance?...that's a little sketchy." He raised his eyebrows at me.

"Shut up." I giggled then walked to the dressing room. 

When I got to the dressing room I slipped of my dress and into some sweats and a tank, but kept my converse on. I threw my hair into a tighter pony and grabbed my mum's purse. 

I walked out of the dressing room and met Luke at the back entrance. 

 LUKE'S POV

I looked up from my phone and saw Nina walking towards me. How does she always look so perfect? Even in sweatpants.

"What? Is there something on my face?" She asked me with a concerned look.

"No...no, no you look really pretty." I stuttered

"You're kidding, right?"  She glanced down at her outift then back up at me.

I couldn't think of what to say. I always get so nervous around her. "C'mon, lets go." I grabbed her hand and we walked out the door and to the car. 

We got in the car and I turned on the radio. And guess what song came on. Fucking "She Looks so Perfect". 

"LUKE. Did you plan this?" She smirked at me. She turned the music up and started dancing. God, everything she does is so adorable.

I turned off the radio and put in an All Time Low CD.

She knew every single word to every single song, and even though she wasn't a good singer AT ALL, it was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

I turned down the music as we pulled into a parking spot at Nandos. I looked over at her.

"What? Did I embarass little Lukey?"  She stared at me with her lips pouted. 

I rolled my eyes. "Let's go."

We got inside the restaraunt and told the hostess we were meeting a group. She led us to our table and we sat down with the boys and my parents. 

NINA'S POV

"Hey, I have to go to the restroom, will you order for me?" I asked Luke.

"Yeah! The usual?" Luke asked me.

"Yep!" I said before walking to the restroom. When I came back everyone had ordered. We were all starving, so when the food came it was gone within minutes and before we knew it we were heading out the doors to our cars.

I said goodnight to the boys and I drove home with my parents. 

When I got home I showered, brushed my teeth and put on my pajamas

I went to make myself some tea, and as I went upstairs, my phone went off. It was a text from Luke. 

Luke- So, now that I'm in town, movie night tomorrow?

Me- Your suite? 8:00?

Luke- Seeya then. 

I smiled. He remembered our famous movie nights. I plugged my phone in my charger and turned out my light.
