'do you have a crush on anyone?' she asks abruptly. i'm a bit taken aback by her question but decide to answer anyway.
'yes,' i say and she looks at me again. you'd swear there was a tennis match going on between me and the ground lol.
'who?' she smirks at me.
'of course it's the hottest person in school, lilia buckingham!' i say mockingly and she cackles with laughter; it's an unwritten rule in our group that we all have to hate lilia. and it's pretty easy to oblige.
'but no, being serious, i actually kinda like someone, but it's hard to comprehend,' i say, now it's my turn to look at the ground.
'how so?' she asks, concerned for me, which is super good and fresh because no one ever really cares enough.
'it's a girl, and i didn't think i liked girls and she's also my best friend which really gives it away shitttt,' i say, without taking a breath.
