One by one they will fall.

Heirs to the Noble Lines of Regnum, raised and primed for this rite.

The King has died. Certainly the Queen will mourn. But the sons and daughters

of Regnum will fight.

Sometimes ages pass without a contest.

Sometimes generations fly with no change.

But eventually, someone always challenges.

The King has died. A new King must be crowned.

Should it be the son, told from birth that one day he will reign?

Or should the Noble Lines prove their worth?
Should they send forth a Successor? Should they vie for the crown?

When the great King passes, the Nobles will convene a council.

Deciding on a new King is nasty business, sometimes taking months.

But most of the time a conclusion is reached with no bloodshed.

Most of the time.

A challenger will arise.
