Chapter 29 - Here Is Gone

He smiled as they both watched me put it on, I eyed Ashton as he looked down at my wrists. I tried to put it on without revealing my wrists.

-Simons POV-

Alright, I've got my first POV in this story. Yeah!

My phone started ringing as I answered it.

"Hi Simon Cowell, it's your buddy at Hi Or Hey Records. Wayde Collins. I just wanted to tell you that I just hired your old songwriter. Roxanne Dianne."

My jaw dropped, why would Wayde want Roxanne after I fired her?

"That's great I guess. Did she write in her resume the reason why she was fired?"

I heard Wayde laugh on the other end,

"Because she gets caught up in all of the drama that was there. Trust me. I've known Roxanne since she was a baby. I know how she is and who she allows herself to be around. I guess you just hear her say the wrong thing to the wrong person at the wrong time? Am I right?"

I sighed, he did have a point,

"Fine. But why are you calling me about this Wayde?"

I questioned,

"Because last night she introduced me to a new band that is trying to become famous."

I nodded my head,

"Who is this new band?"

I asked him curiosly. No matter what anyone says about Wayde being an idiot is right. But he did have a great taste in music. Just as I did. That's the only link that we have in common. That's why we know eachother.

"They are called 5 Seconds Of Summer. They have four Australian boys from Sydney in it. The lead singer is named Luke and he also plays the guitar. There is also another singer named Michael and he also plays the guitar. Then there is Calum, he also sings and he plays the bass guitar. And last but not least, we have Ashton who does some vocals and plays the drums."

I nodded my head, this was fascinating.

"So you're telling me that these four Aussie boys all sing in the band and they play their own instruments?"

I asked astonished because all of my bands only sing. Big Time Rush, One Direction, Little Mix.

"Yes. They have this vibe to them that I'm trying to get hooked on. If you understand what I mean. I want to know if they would be able to make it if we try things out with them. And I wanted to ask of my mission could be assisted with you by my side?"

He asked as I smiled,

"Most definetly. Just give Roxanne a call and make sure she brings the boys here to record a demo track and show it to me. But I want this to be a surprise so ask Roxanne to call me also."

I could hear Wayde and everyone cheering on the other end,

"For sure Simon. Thanks for everything old chap."

He said as we both shared a laugh,

"Thank you for recommending them. See you soon Wayde."

I said as I hung up, I would actually re-hire Roxanne but I think it's a little late. But having a final project with her couldn't be so bad.

-Michael's POV-

I honestly cannot understand why Ashton was always holding Roxy. I examined them throughout the whole day we spent at the fair and they were always laughing and touching each other. I don't know what that feeling in my stomach was? It felt like a butterfly was dying? Don't ask me why because I have no clue what it is.

"Hey, let's play the balloon game. Come on Mikey!"

Roxy grabbed on to my arm as she pulled me with her, I payed the guy as he gave us some darts. Roxy looked at the big pink furry kitty with a little girls expression. I laughed as I went for the first try and hit one. She cheered as I aimed for my second one and got it! She jumped up and down as I hit the last balloon. There was a bell ringing and in examined Roxy's childlike excitement. I've gotta say, she hasn't changed a lot. She's still that girl who gets excited easily.

The guy asked me what stuffed toy I wanted. I pointed to the kitty as he brought it down for me. I handed it to Roxy and she squished it into a hug.

"Thanks Mikey."

She said as she kissed my cheek and ran over to Luke and Calum as showed them my gift to her. I felt a little tingle when she kissed my cheek. I've never felt that before? Maybe I'm just hungry. We saw Ashton come up with 5 hot dogs as he gave one to everyone and we all took a huge bite and nodded our heads. This was a rocking hot dog that's for sure.

As we all finished up, I noticed that Roxy looked pale.

"You okay Rox?"

I asked her as she quickly nodded her head,

"Yup I'm great and you?"

She asked me as I noticed there was something throwing me off in her eyes. I couldn't tell what it was but I just wanted to figure it out.

Luke bent down in front of her,

"Come on princess. Hop on up."

Luke offered her a piggy back ride as we all laughed uncontrollably, she decided to go for it as she did as he asked and she jumped on his back. He got her in position as he held her thighs, trying to help her not to fall off.

"Sorry if I'm heavy Luke."

She muttered but we all could hear it,

"Babe, you're not heavy at all. You feel as light as a feather. Ashton can we get 100 more of those hot dogs for Rox please? She needs it?"

We all laughed as I noticed her eyes turned a gray-ish color. Well, I was right. Roxy is still the same old Roxy. So insecure of herself. I just hope she doesn't still have dark thoughts like she did before.
