Chapter 29 - Here Is Gone

You nodded in agreement and realized you were wearing one of Ashton's shirts. Michael noticed as you quickly explained,

"I stayed here with Ashton last night because I checked out one of his songs that he recorded and it was midnight when we finished so he offered me to stay here for the night. I didn't have any pyjamas."

Michael nodded as you heard Ashton's voice fill the house,

"Roxy! It's time for you to explain to me why you-"

He stopped mid sentence when he noticed that there was someone else in the room.

"Hey Mikey. How come you didn't come home last night?"

Ashton asked him surprised,

"We all went to Luke's last night. Why didn't you go?"

You and Ashton exchanged looks as you cleared your throat,

"Well, I wanted to show Roxy our new home we bought and catch up with her since we haven't seen her in such a long time."

Ashton lied as you sighed, his story fit in with yours perfectly as you picked out Left 4 Dead 2.

"Oh my god! This is my favorite game! You have such a great collection gosh!"

You said basically referring to no one in particular.

"Thanks."

Michael said as he laughed,

"So, Roxy. Can we talk later? Just us?"

Ashton asked as you looked in between him and Michael thought something weird was going on. You nodded your head as Ashton left the room. You gave Michael a controller as you picked one out and you both started killing zombies.

"Michael don't go in the forest without me!"

You exclaimed,

"Well, I'm sorry. Your just too slow!"

He said as he finished off a tank.

"Sorry of I'm looking for ammunition! You have Ellis with you!"

You said referring to the addition computers playing with you.

"Yeah, but you have Zoey, she's better than this little guy!"

You laughed at him,

"Zoey is not in this campaign. You're referring to Rochelle."

Michael rolled his eyes,

"Whatever you get what I mean, right?"

You nodded your head as you continued the game. You heard the door open again as you felt someone fall on top of you. You shoved them off and continued to kill zombies.

"It's nice to see you too."

You heard Luke's voice say beside you,

"I've never seen any girl play videogames with Michael before in my life. Like seriously? Roxy you're into that?"

Calum asked as you nodded your head and tried to keep your focus on the game,

"They should get married for sure. Any girl willing to play a videogame with a guy. Don't second guess it, just put a ring on it."

We all laughed as Michael chased after Luke in anger. What was wrong with him joking about this? Whatever, I thought as I put the controller down and went upstairs to change back into my clothes. I heard the door open as there was a click sound as the person closed it. I saw Ashton looking at me with glazed eyes as he sat me down on his bed.
