My eyes were more arid than the Gobi desert. I lifted myself out of my twin bed, looking into the morning sun. My eyes began to sting. I took out my contacts which I had accidentally slept in. That last night was a blur but, I'm sure I remembered bits of it as the day went on. I looked at the time on my watch and flipped out. I only had ten minutes to get to go the hell of highschool I attended most of each week. I threw on a forest green sweat shirt and some faded jeans. I brushed my teeth as I was getting out of the house and I washed the brush off in the kitchen sink. I threw my tangled cocoa brown hair into a messy bun. I looked like a dumpster but, it was going to have to do. I drove to school in my microvan, admiring the scenic view I saw everyday as I drove to school. Woods, rain, medows, emerald green hills and mountains in the distance, painted my plane of sight. It was part of what I experienced living in Washington. I arrived at school; not such a beautiful place. Well the architecture of the school was nice but, ugly occurrences happened here. I set foot onto the marble floor and headed towards my mustard yellow locker. On my way there, I saw a new girl. She looked different than most girls I was use to seeing. Her hair was short but, she could pull it off since she had the right facial structure. Her hair had subtle violet hues that shined, even in the school's atrocious lighting. Her clothes had an aesthetic appearance to them but, I didn't know exactly why. They probably just complimented her slim physique. When I passed by her, she smiled at me. It looked to be more than a friendly smile. The smile was more like smirk. I had no clue what meant then and just blew it off. But this, this was just the start of everything.
