Of course we were
Dearest Ceto was a whale afterall
And besides,snakes on gods...
Wasn't a worthy appearance for the helpless mortals.
Medusa had it the worst of us all.
Not only was my beloved sister most hideous
But denied immortality by the pompous king of the Olympians.
Our hideous figures became famous.
And with the name came the character...
Euryale clawed and hissed,
We killed and tortured.
Oh wonderful days...
Statues of stone frozen in fear.
I later realized..
My heart was stone as well.
Phorcys was no match for us.
He had Scylla to worry about anyways.
Dino, Enyo and Pemphredo knew so much as to let us be.
We grew stronger day by day...
But sometimes I wonder,
When I was just a little weakling.
If my hideous self already wrote my fate
If the oracles already named me a monster
If myself and my sisters
Would later be the Gorgons...
History would forever remember.
