Dear Diary,

They ended school early today. Lessons usually end at two, but Miss Amy ended lessons at twelve instead. Said something about 'not being able to put up with these insolent brats'. I wonder what 'insolent' means? I'll just check the dictionary when I get home.

I'm outside the general office now waiting for Kris. She told me to wait for her, so I am. But she's still not out yet. Funny. She said that she was going to the toilet, but surely it wouldn't take this long?

The Populars, as usual, are heading to the mall. It's almost a tradition for them- if you want to be a Popular, you must go to the mall.

Anyway, if Kris doesn't show up soon, I'll have to leave. I need to buy the groceries because Mama and Papa never do.

Oh! I see Kris in the distance. I should go.
