Adrien and Marinette lay on the roof of the Dupain-Cheng bakery, looking up at the stars on that mild Paris night. They felt comfortable in eachother's presence, and the idea of time was lost on them.
'Marinette?' Adrien asked. Marinette turned to look at him.
'I always had dreams about you.' he stated. 'Well, about Ladybug. I was always chasing you.'
Marinette smiled. ' I had endless dreams about you, too. But I always caught you. It was like the world knew that everything would turn out right in the end.'
Adrien smiled a this and looked back up at the stars.
'Adrien?' asked Marinette, suddenly a little timid.
'Yes, Princess?'
'Are you... disappointed?'
Adrien looked at her in utter amazement, then stood up, and drew her up next to him. Before he had time to stop himself, he kissed her. His lips meeting with hers as the gentle breeze blew softly around them. 'I wouldn't have it any other way.'
