One winter night

A sonnet.

Frost decorates the windows

In a million merry patterns

As the snow slowly falls

I blow out light of my lanterns

It was dark and bitterly cold

As dark as the hole you left in my life

Morbid thoughts run through my mind

Ruby red was the silver steel knife

I dig deeper and harder for unreal reasons

My hands worked on their own, swift and persistent

No one can save me now, I have gone too far

All my reasons to live are now non existent

I was lost and lonely and full of fright

As I was cold and alone on one winter night

As I was cold and alone on one winter night
