They were in Brandy's room down the hall. Anson opened the door. Brandy held onto Leanne's hand as he was curled up in her lap, laughing at the movie they were watching.
"Hey," Brand sat up quickly, grinning from ear to ear.
"Momma!" He scurried off of Leanna's lap and rushed over to me.
"Hi my little Spark," I said softly, watching the small boy hang onto my arm. I knelt down to him, "How was it with Auntie Le?"
"Don't forget Uncle Will!" He giggled, his missing tooth stuck out causing him to lisp slightly, "It was nice, I like," he said, "How was Momma?" I brushed his brown locks from his gorgeous blue eyes.
"Momma was fine, she came back from work with Dad, and Dad got us all a little thing," I smiled genuinely at my son, seeing his eyes light up, looking straight to Anson.
"What you get!? What you get!?" He jumped up and down excitingly, "Dad! What you get!!"
"I got you some cookies," Anson said softly, he knelt down beside me, pulling out the box of cookies, handing them to my son. Brandy gasped excitingly.
"This better!" He laughed and grabbed the box of cookies, "look! Auntie Le! Look! Dad got me cookies!"
Leanna leaned up, groggily speaking, "that's nice Brand,"
"What do you say?" I asked the boy gently, grabbing onto his arm before he could go to open the box.
"Thank you!" Brandy drew out his words as he spoke, he gasped again in excitement and opened the box, completely ripping it apart.
Brandy looked at me. I smiled gently at him.
"You like them?" I asked softly, straightening his little flannel and shirt. Brandy nodded, a mouthful of cookie appeared in a matter of seconds in the form of a smile.
"What happened?" He muffled, his tiny hand pointing to my hand.
"Mommy got hurt a little while dad and I were working. I'm okay though, my little sunshine," I spoke quietly. Brandy nodded. He went back to eating the cookies, making an absolute mess.
"Oh, William wants you, Leanne," Anson looked from Brandy and me to Leanne.
"Is there something that he needs me to decode?" She asked.
"No, nothing's wrong I don't think, but he wanted you, he's in his study,"
"Okay, thanks," Leanne spoke groggily. She sat up and got off of Brandy's bunk bed, fixing her hair as she walked over in front of us. She messed with Brandy's hair, which caused him to look up giggling. And then gasping.
Leanne snuck a cookie, taking a bite of it. "Mmmm, those are good,"
"HEY!" Brandy yelled, "those mine Auntie Le!" He laughed. I joined in the laughter soon after Leanne started laughing, she smiled sleepily and then headed downstairs.
I looked to my son, taking the box of cookies, and closing them, handing them to Anson.
"That's enough, it's getting late Sparks," I told Brandy.
"But Momma!" He whined
"But nothing, you gotta sleep, you'll have the whole day tomorrow with Auntie Le and Uncle William,"
"But not Mommy and Dad?"
"No, not Dad and I," I picked him up, feeling his legs wrap around my waist. He clung onto my body as I brought him back to his bed. I looked behind me quickly to see Anson was standing up, he shoved the box of cookies in his bag.
