Okay so sorry for the late and short chapters. I'm having surgery on October 2nd so the next chapter will be postponed until I'm off medications. I'll post updates on how I'm doing on Tumblr.

Poseidon's POV

I opened the door to Percy's room; he was smiling and laughing at something Jay said. Even though Jay was twenty- five he still acted like a kid, and Percy always seemed to open up to him.

"How are you feeling Percy?" I asked as I placed my bag on the counter.

"I'm okay still a little nauseous." He was hooked up to his port again for his blood transfusion. His color was already returning.

"Good, I'm glad."

"You look horrible by the way," Percy said as he looked up at me again.

I rolled my eyes, "you don't look that great yourself." He still looked exhausted but at least he was no longer pale.

He laughed, "touche."

Percy's POV:

Dad and I were watching The Flash on Netflix when Annabeth walked in. "Hey seaweed brain."

"Wise girl! I didn't know you were coming." I quickly tried patting my crazy bed hair down.

"We were all worried. Bobby and Mathew wanted to come up, but I told them no since they would be non-stop talking. When are you going to be going home?"

I shrugged, "in a few days I hope. I can't wait to sleep in my own bed."

"I bet, hey Mr. P."

Dad waved, "I'll leave you two alone, I am going to run some errands."

She nodded, "Grover is going to stop by when you get home. He wanted to let you have some time to accept what's happening and not be upset about it."

"It was a lot to take in."

"I understand. So, what have you been doing while your here?"

"Literally nothing. All I can do is sit in this room and play video games all day. It's so boring being in the same room all day."

She rested her head on my shoulder, "it's not that bad."

I snorted, "try being asked to pee in a cup every day and vitals checked every few hours."

She laughed, "baby."

I rolled my eyes, "it's tragic." I sighed dramatically.

We laid there talking to each other for hours while my dad did errands. A knock on the door and Steven walked in, "how is everything, Percy? Did you miss me?"

I smirked, "definitely. Steven this is Annabeth, my girlfriend. Annabeth this is Steven, the nurse."

She smiled, "it's nice to meet you."

He whistled, "you weren't kidding Percy. She is lovely."

Annabeth blushed, "Percy you talk about me?"

"He doesn't stop talking about you."

"Okay, Steven I think she gets it."

He stuck the thermometer in my mouth, "I'm just playing. No fever that's good, vitals look good. Anything feeling off?"

"Nope, I'm feeling much better."

He smiled, "that's good. Blood transfusions usually help. I'll come to check on you in-" he looked at his watch, "two hours."

I leaned over to Annabeth, "he just can't get enough of me."

We all busted out laughing. Annabeth shook her head, "Seaweed brain."

I kissed her cheek, "yes, wise girl?"

"You're so weird."

"You know you love me."

She rolled her eyes, "maybe."

I gasped, "maybe? I'm hurt, Annabeth."

"Get over it."

My dad walked in carrying food. I grinned, "is that pizza?"

He smiled, "yep I thought since you are feeling better we have pizza. "

Annabeth's phone buzzed, "my dad is here Percy. I have to go." She kissed my lips, "love you."

I smiled, "love you too."

She looked back, "my mom wants to bring dinner to you guys when you go home. Plus, the twins are dying to visit."

My dad hugged her, "we will love to have your family over at any time."

She left, and my dad sat down with a sigh as he handed me a slice of pizza, "what do you want to do tomorrow?"

"How about a walk around the hallway and the gift shop?"

He smiled, "sounds good to me." We ate the pizza while watching Deadpool.

*Three days later, Percy is going home*

"Okay, do you have all your medications?" Dad was running around the hospital room as if his life depended on it.

I rolled my eyes, "yes, dad, I'm sure we have everything. Can we please go home?"

"Alright fine, come on."

The drive felt like forever, the doctor's instructions seemed to run through my head over and over again. If I have a fever I have to go in, don't go out without a mask when your immune system is low, expect hair loss, and never forget your medication. There was so much to have to remember and so many rules that I have to follow.

Dad pulled into our driveway, "ready to finally be in your own bed?"

I smiled, "yes, I can't wait to finally sit in my room and then go to school again."

"actually, I withdrew you from school."

"What, why?"

"Your immune system is compromised, Percy. So, I signed you up for online classes, so you don't have to worry about missing any classes."

I sighed, "I know, it just sucks, I want to be able to see all my friends again."

"And you will, just not at school."

"But, it's Freshman year. I just started high school, it just sucks."

Dad nodded, "it does suck, but it's our reality now."

I was exhausted by the time I climbed up the stairs, everything was still sore and my body just felt heavy. Just like what dad said, this was our reality now until it changes.

Please review! I'd love to know what you think! Again sorry for it being short, I just have a lot on my mind right now.

Lot's of Love,
