Jessica's POV

"Jimin!" Eunnie called when she saw him stroll past us alone with a drink in his hands. Jimin turned around and smiled amiably at the three of us. "Have you eaten?" He asked. We shook our heads and thus followed him into the cafeteria.

As we neared the table Jimin was sitting at, I realised that the males there weren't any I've seen before.

"I guess you haven't met them? These are the close friends I've always talked about!" Jimin said, then each of the six other boys introduced themselves politely. Eunnie, Ro-in and I greeted them, then we're gestured to take our seats at their table.

I scanned each and every of the boys briefly to familiarise myself with their faces.

"Hello, I'm Jang Eunnie!"

"Hi, I'm Ahn Ro-in!"

The boy in front of me suddenly lifted his head from his food to look at me.

Oh shit, he's scary-

"I-I'm Jessica Kim." I managed to choke out as dropped my gaze to the table.

"Yoongi, are you okay?" Jimin's voice was heard. I looked up, confused, and saw the boy opposite me - Yoongi - nodding slightly while grabbing his fork tightly.

There was an awkward silence.

"Ah, it was nice meeting you! We should take our leave now to get our food." Eunnie voiced and dragged the other two of us along. She must've sensed the tense situation, yet the reason for it was definitely unknown to everyone except Yoongi.

When we reached the food stall, we stood in silence. Then, I realised the beating of my heart...it was beating rapidly. I brought my arm to my chest to slow my heart down and breathed slowly.

Breathe in, breathe out... breathe in, breathe out...

"Hey Jessica, you okay? " I blinked several times, realising that I had zoned out. I nodded. Something felt weird...something did not feel right...

"Don't you find it weird, how Yoongi reacted when he heard Jae's name?" Eunnie said.

"hmm... that's true." Ro-in replied. The two of them stared at me.

"And you, what's wrong with you? You're acting weirdly."

Now that I thought of it, seeing Yoongi gave me a sense of Deja Vu, it was exceedingly awkward earlier...it was as if....

I sighed and shook my head, deciding to ignore this atypical thought. Looking ahead, I noticed that we were at the start of the queue. The three of us then turned our attention to the food.

The scene was bright, as if the sun was directly above, shining bright yet without the intense heat it normally had. I was seated on a black bench, my hands playing on the piano before me. However, I couldn't hear what my eyes saw. The music didn't reach my ears.

I felt a smile form on my face, then I grinned to the person next to me. Another pair of hands appeared on the right of mine on the piano, hitting the keys firmly but gently. It was a happy scenario, but one I didn't recognise.

This scene I was experiencing was completely new, yet I felt a lot younger than I usually did. It could be a past experience, yet it brought no sense of familiarity. Nevertheless, I glossed over this feeling and concentrated on what was happening.

I was...happy, and young. I knew music used to bring me freedom, happiness, as I could breakaway from my stress after days of hardwork. Playing the piano was a means of expressing myself, whether I was gloomy, annoyed or elated. It always brought me a sense of....serenity.
